I'm still trying to read though the whole thread.Join us the chaos that is FBA thread! I read most of it while laid up with a broken ankle, it was a wonderful distraction and I learned so much along the way. It is a busy thread however you would be hard pressed to find kinder, more helpful folks that are willing to share their experiences and knowledge and ask for nothing in return (except for pictures, they sill require those) The primer is lovely BUT I personally think the reading the ups and downs is entirely worth
This made my day. Happy Easter hunting to you?Chicken Palace
I have often talked here about how the Chicken Palace is built on a steep slope and how the rafters are 11’ up which is why I can’t get Babs or Eli down off their roost at night.
Today I was doing a bit of cleaning and restocking of food and water prior to my trip and I got this picture which I think gives a good sense of the height and the slope down and out to the run where my chair is.
I don’t usually get pictures from this angle and thought it was quite cool so wanted to share.
Does anyone see anything odd? Something that definitely caught my eye.

Let me zoom in a little and maybe you will spot it.
Do you see it now?
Yes indeed. It is an egg.
I have no idea how long it has been up there. Judging by the size it is a Babs egg. She missed a couple of days laying last week (or so I thought!). She must have laid it early one morning before it was light enough to fly down from the rafters. Did I mention the 11'?

Be sure it’s Greek yogurt. They won’t eat any other kind!Im in pain and sick but my hida scan was approved today and I have an appt on the 25th. Im calling a new digestive Dr. tomorrow because my digestive dr isnt helping with meds for pain or anything. Who lets a person go an over a month with no real help? especially if the gallbladder is bad. Thats ok, i just went out and gave the chooks some salad and greek yogurt and they are loving it! My feather kids make me feel better.
Oh I missed a trick. It really was an Easter egg hunt! This made my day. Happy Easter hunting to you?
You should try to use a pole to let it roll out of the rafter. Put lots of cushion like air mattress stuff at the landing spot.
That's just hilarious! And amazing! What are the odds??Chicken Palace
