Update on Wendy
She keeps improving, eating more and gaining more strength. I already have vitamins and electrolytes in water. Will try to feed her yogurt today. Yesterday she still won't accept any food from me, but she was eating on her own. She hates us a little bit because she does not like to take her meds.

@Ponypoor, have your Belifelders (spelling check) arrived yet? I can't wait! They always add in some extra chicks, so hopefully you only get pullets!! Although roos are STUNNING! You have Mr. P

Today at 1pm I will pick them up .

And this weekend should have the eggs in my friends incubator hatching and come home.

I don't sleep for very long either. Pain or movements above deprive me of a decent night's sleep.

Today today today!

It’s a beautiful morning it’s 15C, going to be a high of 28C (82F), should be good driving weather.

I pick up the chicks at 1pm

Hmmmm - well I will have a few days of nice weather for the chicks coming home. But Monday Summer ends and we return to early Spring weather.

I guess I will need to keep the brooder in the office/feed room where I can keep the room warm if they don’t want to hang out under the brooder plate - if they want to get out and eat, drink, poop and check out the world.

But might have the brooder out in the alleyway so that my (not) broody gals might get motivated to mother the wee ones!

Thirsty bums from sunday

Cheetah, there's freshly filled water the girls are drinking. Why are you drinking what hasn't evaporated from the snow melt?

Make sure it's rat proof in either location.

The feed room is and I haven’t seen any further rat activity on the hen house since I fixed the pavers in the floor.

I will have them on that large animal crate I have raised other chicks in.

Dreadful creatures Rats - been trying to zap the so and so’s but they won’t go on the trap.

Ok well better get stalls done and then get going.

Enjoy the trip home with the little peeps. I talked to mine the whole way home from the post office, both times.
