Thank you Marie. also tagging @RoyalChick @Ponypoor @LhickenChicken @BY Bob
I took @bgmathteach 's advice. I bought anti-fungal cream and dropped it off at my friend's place. She was not home so I did not see Ginger. My friend said she will try the medicine. Sour crop is just my guess. I do not know what she has for sure.
I do hope you are able to help Ginger, and that your friend is willing to participate in a meaningful way without there being repercussions to your friendship. :hugs :hugs :hugs
So hard to know just what to do when you don't even know what is wrong.:fl:fl:fl I wish you and Ginger the best!❤️

Two-fer Tuesday:
With all of my chickens, it is really hard to get a shot of only 2, so this is the best I was able to do today:
IMG_3025[1].JPG

2 Barred Rocks (Sorry @Ponypoor only 1 comb and only 2 partial waddles 🤷‍♀️)
IMG_2930[1].JPG

2 girls out on a quest to find every. single. dropped. seed. from the bird feeder!
IMG_3026[1].JPG

2 FBCM ( legs are too lightly feathered to not be a mix :( )

Back to back they faced each other, lifted their tails and flashed one-another!🤭

Thank you. She is a nice lady and a good person who is not offended because I am intervening. We just have different styles in chicken keeping. She is very willing. She understands that we really treasure our chickens. She told me that she has given Ginger her first dose of cream.

If this works out, it could also help her with her other chickens in the future. She may not go to her chicken run every hour like my husband 😓, but her chickens certainly have a good life with spacious run and good food. For example, she cooks a Salmon fish head (free from a restaurant) every week for them.

:wee:weeOne of my pullets, a White Rock is broody! She has sat consistently for 2 days now (well 1.5 days - 2 nights). This weekend I will move her to the broody tractor and give her some eggs to hatch. (Maybe tomorrow night if it stays nice enough for me to clean it out and prep it with new bedding, food & water) I have never had one go broody this early...they usually wait until late June or July (or August, like last year!)

If she sticks it out, she will get the 'special leg band' Those are for my hens that brood - and it means they get to stay as long as they live.:)🥰
That is wonderful news. I'm sure all the other hens will be jealous.
