Thank you.Great photo!
I do hope you are able to help Ginger, and that your friend is willing to participate in a meaningful way without there being repercussions to your friendship.Thank you Marie. also tagging @RoyalChick @Ponypoor @LhickenChicken @BY Bob
I took @bgmathteach 's advice. I bought anti-fungal cream and dropped it off at my friend's place. She was not home so I did not see Ginger. My friend said she will try the medicine. Sour crop is just my guess. I do not know what she has for sure.
Thank you. She is a nice lady and a good person who is not offended because I am intervening. We just have different styles in chicken keeping. She is very willing. She understands that we really treasure our chickens. She told me that she has given Ginger her first dose of cream.I do hope you are able to help Ginger, and that your friend is willing to participate in a meaningful way without there being repercussions to your friendship.![]()

That is wonderful news. I'm sure all the other hens will be jealous. One of my pullets, a White Rock is broody! She has sat consistently for 2 days now (well 1.5 days - 2 nights). This weekend I will move her to the broody tractor and give her some eggs to hatch. (Maybe tomorrow night if it stays nice enough for me to clean it out and prep it with new bedding, food & water) I have never had one go broody this early...they usually wait until late June or July (or August, like last year!)
If she sticks it out, she will get the 'special leg band' Those are for my hens that brood - and it means they get to stay as long as they live.![]()
So do I. Never got trapped into the iWorld.Or else you can get sucked into the Galaxy, and you can't come back out (I used to use iPhone, now I have Galaxy. Works better)
