$10 bucks says they breach your fortification! (Right after the blueberrys ripen)
I surely think this one will be the leader if it happens. Always calculating is this one.

That looks good - for now! Soon enough, one of your flyers will fly over it and help themselves. they will wait until it looks like there might be something good to investigate in there though...so be forewarned!

I do hope you ALL get to enjoy the 'fruits' of your planting labour!

I put some chick starter in front of Goose and she let me get a little closer look at the chicks. Touching them sets her off. I really think the partridge chick is the product of Branch x Chiquita. It is smaller, black skin with the double toes and can already see it is going to be bearded and has a bit of a head poof already. Coloring is similar to Ezzie's at hatch but it down is duller and more of a soft brown, Ezzie's hatch color was a tad more vibrant. I hope that is a good sign going forward.

For reference Ezzie just hatched, the new one is definitely duller in color.

I also informed the Marshmallows that they were no longer the babies in the flock. I do not think they cared.

Yes! Actually that is exactly what I had in mind. But I would worry about it being tied around her neck in case she did some kamikaze maneuver. It would need a quick release mechanism.
Jaffar doesn’t wear his scarf because it could get caught on something and strangle him

So much cuteness and beauty in this post. The partridge chick looks like a hen to me. 😉

It is clear those marshmallows are not worried about new chicks. I just love the way they have splayed their legs out.
