Happy Mugs Monday.
Gryffyn has a secret under her that she is not ready to let the world see.

I had to check for myself they were ok so I pulled them out for just a minute.

Proud Papa who has also discovered Goose has chicks hatching. He is torn in 3 different directions right now. He has the Marshmallows who stick with him. He also is now running back and forth between Gryffyn and Goose's nest trying to catch a peek at the new chicks.

Goose, she has 3 of her 4 out. The 4th egg has externally pipped.

You have nerves of steel I am anxious just thinking about it!
Well it’s all relative, when you have horses and you see the horrendous damage a kick from a beotchy old evil mare can do to a foal everything else is just blasé.

I just keep everything contained in a small area so I can intervene and control interactions. Some amt of pecking and chasing is expected, it’s how they assert their dominance. I am hoping Henny takes a shine to them so they can have a protector.

Awwww congratulations - they are wonderful, glad they all are doing well.

Can’t wait to see them all out and about in a few days or so.

I'm not on 24/7 like she is😆
Only three times a day: morning, afternoon, and nights 😁

Don’t worry once it stops raining and gets warm it will only be morning and nights 😆

Ok well I need to go clear out my feed room/tack room /office, my uncle will up tomorrow and we are getting the floor down and then I will paint the walls (finally), and try to finish the shelves for storage, and doors on the saddle closet.

I also want to build some feed storage bins that are square and will fit against the walls better (I use trash bins right now).

Need to find a safe place for the chicks….

Just need to get ‘er done.

If you had told me 3 weeks ago that Gryffyn would be successful I would not have fully believed you. I honestly almost did not set her. I would not have set her last year as I have been fighting her and her sisters egg eating behavior for over a year now. They both went broody last year but were never given eggs as they could not stop eating every egg they found. If Flurry goes broody as well this year I will give her a chance as well. I do not know why and I am NOT complaining but both girls have went 2 months without eating a egg. I also thought we had a disaster happen when Louis covered the eggs and I found all 4 cold a little over a week in. These 2 are little miracles in my opinion.
