Does anyone have a way to clean chicken butts? Ours have quite a bit of poop stuck on them.

Sorry for not being as active! But lately it’s been sooo nice out, and I’ve been hanging out with them more.

Our first batch of chicks have also left the brooder! They are doing very well, but have found a habit of roosting next to Millie on the ladder… she told me she’s not ready to be a mom of five, yet have babies bigger than her… poor Millie

Yesterday we got a new batch of chicks! 2 polish, 3 frizzles, and 2 d’Uccles (all different colors). Here’s a photo of one polish chick! I am tempted to name her Nugget jr…

Those are some nice chickens. You could name one of the Polish Chopin.

I don't blame her at all! Something that strenuous and personal - you should be ashamed of yourself bothering her - even the Roos know to leave them alone when they are laying! I think I would have pecked or bitten you, also!

Ours will let you pet them while they lay their eggs. They also pose for cameras and eat mealworms. Don't feel too bad about that.
