Yup screenshot ;) and a quick edit to focus on the plants. I got conflicting information on toxicity some say its fine some say its definitely not fine. I had to try and look to see in case it was what was wrong with Eli. I hope you don't mind me trying to play detective. Unfortunately its mixed results.
The majority of sites say it can be used in small doses to cure coccidiosis and a variety of intestinal parasites in its powdered form but warn against allowing any animal to ingest its leaves particularly dogs. As always the chicken data isn’t as readily available.
That is interesting, as my info on mugwortit states it is generally safe and was used to help regulate menstrual cycles in women...etc., etc., etc.

General poultry tonics and laying stimulants include:- garlic, onion, chickweed, dandelion, fennel, wormwood, rue, cress, marigold, mint, vervain, comfrey, borage, thyme, marjoram, sage, nasturtium, mugwort, gotu kola and parsley. Chickens generally enjoy green, leafy vegetables.

I think some plants in the Artemitis family can contain Thujone (sp?), which can be toxic in all but minimal amounts. Not finding any additional specifics regarding Mugwort, though. I would say I will do a search of more scientific literature...but that is RC's wheelhouse, and I really need to get to bed since am comes way to early....and I am not yet retired:(

(Though with all the things RC has going on, I suspect she is 'faking' being retired!:gig)

Hello everybody! I feel like it's been forever since I've posted! I'm glad to be back! And I've got a couple of surprises! So, recently I've suffered a pretty bad injury to my left leg, but I'm getting better.
So.... in all that time I've been away from my BYC friends a lot has happened, my boyfriend gave me the idea to start a garden!
So I said.... okay! I've got a huge backyard I'm practically wasting! I had a great friend of mine plow up the field, I got it tilled, and soon it was ready for planting! A few days ago, I planted some tomatoes and bell pepper plants, and planted some squash and cucumber seeds! And a special little area for sunflowers! I'll be sure to get you guys some photos soon!

Okay.... sorry to make this so long but I know you all pretty much adore baby chicks! So, the news, I got new chicks! They are white leghorns. I already have 3 white leghorns now that are about exactly a year old, and a six year old RIR hen, who is sometimes sweet, but always sassy lol. Anyways, 7 new additions arrived today! And all look happy and healthy so far! I did buy a few save a chick packets just in case of an emergency. You've been waiting long enough, I'm ready to share photos of the chicks!
Great to see you again! And leghorns! My favorites! 🥰

Sorry to hear about your leg but glad to hear you are feeling better.

How, Do, You, Get, Those, Kinds, Of, Pictures??
However I try, they never go aim their beaks at the camera.
What is your secret??
POW
For those kinds of photos.
It depends on the chicken, camera, and the person. Philomena is a very active curious chicken. Therefore, she investigates everything, even if she's seen it before. What I do is I use my phone's camera (Samsung Galaxy Note 9) and point it at the chicken, taking a bunch of photos rapidly. Sometimes they pose, other times no. It just depends. If you aim at their beaks, they will turn their heads. If you want lots of practice and good shots, wait until they go to lay their eggs. I've gotten some really good photos that way. Remind me tomorrow, and I will try to send some pictures while not half asleep.
