So, I think my chickens have a problem:

:idunnoClearly, my chickens do NOT like Corn on the Cob:idunno

What it looked like prior to hanging in the run:

What it looked like 2-3 minutes later:

:confused:Evidently, they don't think corn should be on the cob, and they quickly set about rectifying the situation.

Miser

'Co' prefix does mean 'together', but the actual prefix here is 'com' which means 'with'. It has Latin Roots.
'ate' suffix turns the word into an adjective

Okay, I'm quite sure RC could add some insightfulness to this conversation. however, given my strength is math, not language, I will end it here for me.

Chicken Tax for talking:

doesn't happen often, but here are 3 lined up in a row! (with one trying to cut in line  )View attachment 3498381
I like your explanation :)
My strength is being literal. (I have wanted to be with my Nana. Next time she tells me about chickens on the dishes is gross, I will remind her where eggs come from. Sorry if I seem to be mean about my Nana. She seems to always find something absurd to worry about. Worried about me having diabetes (no, we live in a desert, therefore, I will drink a lot), then some other absurd things, including the dishes, and then giving me a silent, whispered lecture on not kicking my sister. I had plenty of evidence that it never happened, but I have decided not to bother correcting her since she will say I called her a liar.
While I'm at ranting, my siblings have been trash talking the fact that I love my chooks, saying that they will wait until I go somewhere to kill my beloved Abigail. I figured I should just leave them alone and have some fun my own way)

Lovely tax payment :love :love :love You should submit this picture for POW! There is such an expressiveness to her eyes in this picture - definitely one for the picture album (yeah, old school physical album, I mean!!) And I just love detail of her eyebrow feathers in this picture!

I definitely will submit it for the POW!
I should make a physical album some day.
I'm glad you like the detail in the photo. I have noticed my phamera does a good job of highlighting those things.

How is she doing? Were you ever able to find her a companion?
She’s doing ok I think. I’m sure she is a little lonely. We haven’t gotten her a companion yet. I’m really having trouble choosing between another llama or two, or a pair of mini-donkeys. The llamas would probabaly be lower maintenance, but hard to find decent ones that aren’t either young/untrained or really old.
Awwww that’s more like it ❤️ Flaked out under their brooder now 💕
Is it set a little too high? Can you angle it more? They might be hanging out on top because when they lay down to sleep underneath they can’t reach it.

Tax, just in case

@Ponypoor or anyone else who may be able to help with this:
This is Agathae. She is 3 pounds. Her breed standard is 5 1/2 pounds. She is from September last year, so eight months old. She has been laying from around March. Now I need to know: Is she underweight? Abigail should be 7 pounds but is only five, so I am wondering if the flock is not getting what they need. If underweight, how to get her to normal weight? Will she ever get to normal weight or is she just off her rocker?
And if she is underweight, could it be causing her to lay shelless eggs? It's got to be either underweight, stressed, not enough calcium, being a young pulled, excessive begging for mealworms, being in a rush, or just being a fan of not putting a shell on her eggs.
Would bleinding yogurt and eggshell togheter be a good way to get the calcium into her?
Here is tonight's Agathae egg:

Tassles: What ya doing? Sit and relax!
Pigletine: I'm planning my runway debut.
Tassles: Your runway what??

Pigletine: My runway debut. You know, like Phyllis
Tassles: I hear they like svelte, you might want to reconsider - you have to pick Runway or Food, which will it be?

Pigletine: How dare you - we are in the modern age you know! Models of all sizes and colors are needed. We don't ALL have to be svelte, black, and exotic looking!
Tassles: Whatever. exotic sells. :idunno

Pigletine: To herself: humph, you can pick friends, but you are stuck with family!
Very well done. :clap :clap :lau :gig:lau:gig

That's scary. My gosh! Eye attacks everywhere all of a sudden. I'm glad you got it closed in time.
This time it was partially my fault. Momma was amped up tonight and I knew that. We mowed the grass and she was agitated. I should have been paying attention to her especially with chicks this young. I was not. I was in a hurry and crouched down to shut the door and she struck. I was also lulled into a sense of false security with her as she had not tried any of her normal stunts towards me in a couple days. This is why you can never let your guard down with this hen when she has chicks.
