Wow the steroids my Dr. gave me helped my back. Tomorrow I go in for a neck ablation. Did the 3 months of pt and now started 3 months pt on my back. I was able to go see my chooks today all are doing well. Zeus likes to go in the coop and watch me feed the tweens who are getting really big now. Soon it will be time to introduce them to the flock. Meanwhile just playing my game and doing my Geneology. Have over 11,000 people on my tree dating back to the 1400's. Lots of royal bloodline, queen of france, king of scotland, queen of england.

I'm glad the steroids are helping you feel a bit better and that you were able to get out and about!

Wow, that is impressive to be able to go back that far. On my fathers side, we can only go back to the early 1700s as there was a huge fire in a church that held many of the records of births, deaths, marriages, etc.

Sitting at the surgery center, waiting on them to finish my husband’s rotator cuff surgery. I will either be on more often for the next few weeks, or hardly in at all, depending on taking care of him. Not looking forward to it, especially not when I am still hobbling around.

Leg is doing ok, but still bothers me a fair amount and makes me even slower than usual. Which is saying something, seeing as my grandmother always said I have two speeds, slow and stopped.

I wish him a safe recovery and hope you feel alright again soon. My ankle seems mostly recovered but it wasn’t near as bad as your break. It took almost 8 months for it to feel completely right again and I still struggle with trusting it to be okay.

Oh my they are just precious! I opened the tent up today fully prepared to grab the movable fence enclosure for them but nope Brownie is like these girls and in no hurry to go anywhere with the tiny walking tennis balls.

I was watching them today and goodness Brownie really pesters them to eat eat eat!! If they are out from under she insists they be scratching food and will even gently peck them into action. Do your girls do this too? Fascinating to watch how they teach them to chicken.

Getting work done between chasing down Buttercup the escape artist, breaking up brawls with the broodies, and doing the odd headcount to make sure all are where they should be.

And my Inspection team (the tweens) were also working hard, making sure I measured twice and cut once. They sure aren’t afraid of the round saw and drill, I have to watch my step they are up on the ladder with me - sheesh!

They will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and they are fully integrated into the flock, easiest time I ever had, and I learnt that those first 2 or 3 days I had them out as babies and let everyone see them were the most important, the babies learnt who they could trust not to clobber them and who to stay away from (Marty you brat!).

Today I had the mamas out for whole afternoon, I am sure those babies will sleep tonight, but o already see a huge difference in them - they are running around, digging in the dirt and really much more mobile. Also the others are getting to know them and I am letting the others get close - pretty much everyone is ignoring each other and doing their own thing.

It’s been such an amazingly lovely day. And tomorrow is going to be a repeat.
