Great name!

We need more photos of tweens and teenies - how many tweens are there? And I think you said 5 silkies - those tweens of yours must be flying everywhere hahaha - this morning my bad tweens figured out that the stall doors were great places to sit - getting up was easy apparently, but getting down was scared 😆 the doors are 4’ tall.

Of course this now means I need to cover my horses water pails in the stalls just in case 🥺

😊😊
They do seem rather adept at getting into trouble.
Mine are now over three weeks old (not yet 4 weeks) and are using the fire escape ladders to scamper up and down, but they are also just flying straight up or down the 4' or so to their little house.
But what they do is fly into my storage area and then get scared because they are on their own. When that happens they shriek like they are being murdered until I come to shoo them back to the fire escape. I got myself a nice little branch they can hop on to so I can elevator ride them down because they are often way higher than I can reach, and if I have to climb a ladder for every shrieking chick I will for sure eventually break my neck!

I know! What’s with the shrieking ha! I don’t run so much now, I look to see if the older chickens are reacting.

One thing I see them doing is squeezing through my netting onto the horse paddock! Talk about freaking me out!

Fluffy Butt Friday

Wow Friday again, time sure is flying by.

A couple more fluffy butts then I need to do chores

The only way to get them lined up for bum shots? Put the food down!!! (So food motivated, they are! 🙄 )

Not a good bum shot, but a nice photo of the guy hatched last summer that I wasn't going to keep...but he 'adopted' the girls who were 4+ months older than him (and roosterless), and was so good with them, he EARNED his right to stay!🥰
