I am. Every 3-4 hours I boot her off if she doesn’t come off on her own.
The amount of time she stays off gets shorter and shorter.
I am thinking of replacing the golf ball with one that has been in the freezer.
Remove the golf balls all together.

She might give up - though my silkies will sit on nothing…

Wow you’re really doing well in that case! Now that’s dedication 💕

Do you take her outside away from the nest area? I think you said you did. Dorothy was very bad she just wouldn’t stop being broody. I was really worried but after 5 weeks she stayed off. Phew!

Hopefully Eli will get tired of being broody.

I think my package is lost in the mail.
I had ordered a SD Card to stick in my phone so I won't run out of space to take chicken photos. Well, I have been waiting all week and longer, and it says the last update was that it was transferred to the carrier, which just happens to be UPS. I just wish they'd use someone else other than UPS, due to the fact that they lose important packages like that blood sample I heard about.

They are wonderful. She ended up with 3 girls and 1 boy. The boy was the grey and white one that I fell for when she sent me a picture of it. Momma Reese has been spayed for almost 2 weeks now. She rehomed 2 of the girls with a co-worker. She planned on rehoming the other 2 to a different co-worker. 2 days before she was supposed to pick them up sis lost it, she did not want to let both go, but had promised her both. Well, the co-worker never showed up to get them. Sara took that as a sign and started saying she wanted to keep 1 if not both. It became official a few days ago when her boyfriend agreed to keep them both. The boy is Mouse and the calico is Crusty.
A few weeks old.

Crusty with Jynx. I never thought that Jynx would take up with one of the kittens. She is very anti-social towards both people and other cats. She loves both kittens, but really has a bond with Crusty.

I informed sis that she has 3 more cats, it is time to give me Jynx back. It went in one ear and out the other.
Awwwww so wonderful - and how wonderful that Jynx has a pal 🥰🥰

Thanks for the update!

Unfortunately there is no TNR organizations in our area. 3 times a year local shelters and vets host spay and neuter drives at a discounted price. Limit is 2 per person and the vouchers go fast and you still have to pay 25 per animal. Have they ever tried to get vouchers....no they claim they cannot afford it, it is too expensive. Too expensive my rear, Jynx was 150 to be spayed 8 years ago and Jack was 120 to be neutered when he was old enough. Their solution is to keep having kittens, never once try to rehome any of them when they are young. Throw them outside at about 2 to 3 months to fend for themselves only to be brought back in when they are pregnant and ready to pop. I have contacted the animal shelter over them, always the same response. Shelter is full not taking in anymore cats or kittens. Trust me, if I could I know which are theirs, I would take off a carload to them. Now, if we lived in the city limits, the shelter would do something. Because we are outside of city limits they will not even come out for a dangerous stray dog.
So sad, why do people have animals when they just can’t take care of them adequately.

I had to stop going to horse auctions, I rescued so many poor starved horses 🥺

The tweens pooping all over my electric fencer, they are everywhere now the brats! Today they found the roosting shelf - now that was a fun spot and a great place to fly up onto!

Yes. I carry her down to the run and feed her until she flies off my hand.
She usually dust bathes and goes outside to grabs some greens.
Sometimes I see her eating from the chicken feeder. Sometimes not. And usually I see her drink. I was worried today because I didn’t see her drink but I suspect she did when I wasn’t watching.
