Spring Cleaning
The main coop got a deep cleaning today and it needed it.

The nest boxes in particular were disgusting from Hattie and Betty sleeping in them.

Of course as soon as the new straw is down, Aurora was ready to party. She made a complete mess of my nicely laid out straw.

I had some chicken potpourri that someone gave me so I scented up the freshly cleaned nest boxes.

Lots of Doings

I'm going to break up today's activities into a couple of posts. First we will start with the saddest one. I moved Betty's silhouette to the run today and advanced Glynda and Lady Featherington up the rankings.

It's Getting Hot in There
With temps bumping into the 80s I decided that it was time to ventilate the Cluckle Hut so Phyllis wasn't overheated at night. So out came the window and on went the awning.

The first time I planted a garden I did not realize the were following me and eating the lettuce as I planted it. Now i am much more careful when planting.
