You are good!
Calypso is an Ameraucana - from a line of show birds not an Easter Egger by another name. She is indeed a black beauty - I need to get some pictures of her - she already has a fabulous tail and like Tassels she is mostly feathered but with a bit of a rumpled look around the neck.
You know how I love black chickens so she and Tassels just take my breath away.
Tassels' tassels turned black a week or so ago - they were pale grey before that.
I think her heritage is Marans x Ameraucana but I may have got that wrong. You know - pretty black chicken and I am done!
Is it normal for black chickens' eyes to stay black all their lives? Because I have a pullet called Ellie and she is black and has black eyes and they haven't shown any sign of turning another color, because chickens' eyes are usually yellow or reddish-yellow...? Right?

I firmly believe that if they adapted a movie from a book, the book is 1000x better. Of course I am a avid reader so that my cloud my opinion. Rosie is following in my footsteps with a love of reading. I am so proud of one of the things she asked for her birthday and we made sure she got. She wanted to read the book "To Kill A Mockingbird". A classic, one 20+ years ago I was REQUIRED to read in 9th grade english. Her school, the very same high school I attended, has 1 copy to it's name now, and it is NOT allowed to be checked out. They are doing Semester exams this week, has 2 today and the rest of her classes doing nothing. She took that book today to read in class instead of watching movies. Oh, the book they had to read this year, "The Hunger Games".........really now.
Not allowed to be checked out? They banned "To Kill A Mockingbird"?

Tina being a beauty.

Eye color can vary depending upon breed. We had 2 black chickens (different breeds) with different colored eyes.

I have not been paying attention to Abigail 's breathing (reading a book). Agathae 's comb is still cyanotic.
Oh I was hoping she was less blue, 💖

Ok well hopefully by morning when it's cooler.she should be normal colour.

Actually I am curious to see if in the morning it's normal.

Ok you have a lovely evening.
Oh hey what happened to the little bird?

Harry Potter may be more designed for teenagers. I read all Harry Potter books when it was quite freshly out. I was in high school at the time. I read them like I was eating ice cream. Sooooo good. I read them until I fell asleep. I woke up and was so happy the moment I realized I have more to read. Needless to say I was so sad when it was over.

I've only had such reading experience with Harry Potter. Addictive is the word.

Yes, I read all of them in Chinese. Many years later I realized that they did a fantastic job in translation. Like the made-up word "muggle" was perfectly translated to match the pronunciation and the meaning.

Tax: all of our chickens in one picture.

I loved reading bit now my eyes bother me if I read too long, and my bad arm gets sore holding a book. If I can get an ebook version I will read that on my laptop.

Not the same as holding a book but the adventure of reading is fun.

Abigail is making this odd honking noise. Why on earth would she be doing that.
And I have lost it with youtube. They now want me to share info I do not want to share with them or wait to access "advanced features". I can see why Bob stopped using them.

Maybe because she's hot? Her wings are up. Mouth open + thirsty made that noise? It basically sounds normal to me though.

What Youtube is doing is terrible! Getting your private information and have you completely ID'd in the name of safety.

Just checked a couple photos, Rico has amber coloured eyes but Martina has black eyes. If I remember I will check out everyone tomorrow.
