Okay fine! 🤦‍♂️
I was working really hard on that fan project! tmp.gif

I cannot agree more. I guess I am old school in my thinking. Thankfully in 3rd grade Rosie's teacher was one of the "evil old hard ones." She has thrived under those types of teachers. Cursive was not required but she taught her class to write in it anyway. I really think they are trying to dumb down our children these days. If I was just starting out again and had to enter her in kindergarten, she would be put in a catholic school. I'm not even catholic, but those nuns take no crap and teach and push. I was shocked when I filled out the beginning of the year paperwork. A key permission form was missing for the first time. I have always signed and agreed to corporal punishment if needed. I was paddled twice in school and it did me favors. Completely done away with now. I asked Rosie what books are in her library to check out. I remember that library well, senior year worked for the librarian for 2 class periods so I did not have to take extra gym classes. They have Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and lots of Stephen King and Nora Roberts. You know what is missing? Moby Dick, Little Women, Of Mice and Men and every single Mark Twain novel. They had them before, several copies of each in fact. I know, I read them ALL.
Ranting tax.

In High School we had to read Albert Camus' The Plague - and write a book report on it detailing how society failed the town.

Now it somehow has been banned in schools so I am told - WTH?

I often thought of that book during Covid....

Also had to read Lord of the Flies - a book I detested to this day. Very dark and sad book. That book seems to still be used - go figure.

Yee Gads - I am going to owe some pretty awesome photos later on :)
So many of the books that were required reading when I was in school have been banned now in some areas for one reason or another. Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, Watership Down. And I definitely think it has a negative affect on the education of our children.

And I hate that they don’t teach cursive any more. In some places not even enough for kids to learn how to sign their own name. I had a lot of younger people who printed their “signature” when I worked in a bank branch.

Abigail is making this odd honking noise. Why on earth would she be doing that.
And I have lost it with youtube. They now want me to share info I do not want to share with them or wait to access "advanced features". I can see why Bob stopped using them.

I do not have my real name on my Google Account. Or birthday. It probably thinks I'm twenty (I am not). I made the account some time ago.
Google has no need to have a video of my mug or a picture of my ID (I only have a expired passport and my Apple ID.) I feel like I am being treated like a criminal or something with those Google questions.
Should I send youtube headquarters a package with a big dislike symbol or a sad face made out of chicken poo?
Oh man, am I on a soapbox? Anyone remember Kris on a soapbox?
Tax for being on a soapbox.

I have never had YouTube ask me to do anything like that. Are you just trying to upload an unlisted video to share the link with friends, on here, etc? That type of verification looks to me like you a few trying to create a public channel to post content to. I can see them needing to do stronger verification for that, especially when someone is asking people to subscribe to their channel or pay money for things.

Long, rough day today. 15 hours at the rig, another 2 hours doing my report and seeking knowledge. I am wiped out but have enjoyed the few pages I read today. Be wary of snakes. Lety killed a cottonmouth by our kitchen door yesterday.
I think I saw a baby cottonmouth in my flooded area yesterday. I know we have some living in the pond on our property line, and when it overflows it can send them down our way. 🤬

Is it normal for black chickens' eyes to stay black all their lives? Because I have a pullet called Ellie and she is black and has black eyes and they haven't shown any sign of turning another color, because chickens' eyes are usually yellow or reddish-yellow...? Right?
I have a majority of black chickens. The Marans and the Marans crosses have the gold colored eyes. Marans are not supposed to have black eyes though.
Here is Raven a Marans mix.
