FWIW, the spray is oil based, so if someone or something gets hit with it, use liquid soap (like dish soap) WITHOUT water. Work it in thoroughly to the area sprayed. Once the soap has bonded with the oil, you can use water to rinse it off. And like any oil, heat thins the oil and cold thickens the oil, so use cold water to help keep it contained.

We have one of those visiting from time to time. I found myself within 6 feet of it the first time we discovered its presence. I was dumping the coffee pot into the flower bed and had time to go back in for my phone.View attachment 3512128

Something Tried Digging up Betty

I found this when I woke up Friday morning.

So I filled everything back in and placed some bricks on top. I then set up a camera. I caught this nasty in the process of trying to dig around the bricks last night.

OMG sorry to see this - yes they are opportunistic eaters also.

I had to put Stanley about 3’ down and put a 2’ wide brick slab on top of him. Coyotes were trying to get through.

We have had a skunk holed up under our deck for years and years. One year we had babies so cute, mama was killed so I fostered the babies - they lived outside and were olde enough that I could just feed them 3 times a day.

One of the babies stayed around when they got older. He was there for years, I almost stepped on him one night when I was walking off the deck. I scolded him and he tucked himself under the deck. I find skunks are far more tame than raccoons and no where near as destructive.

Good, and interesting, I would expect a skunk could move a brick. Glad it couldn't!
