Hey sorry I didn’t get back to you regarding your gals toe with the sore on it. My mare was really sick 😢

Anyways here is my thought, it looks like she has caught it on something and cut it, she would then pick at it making it worse.

If you can soak it in warm water to clean it, then use some antibiotic ointment that you can get from any pharmacy, put a small dab on it and if you can put a small bandage on it - if you can’t it a bandage on it then rather than ointment, spray with blue coat.

Ok let us know how it goes.

I've been there and done that countless times.
Yep slippery stuff! Now I keep some sand nearby and sprinkle on the cecal poops and sweep them up, the sand helps to coat the gooey stuff and easier to pick up.

I just realized I missed Two-fer Tuesday.
Wow, I'm having some bad luck lately.
It's fine. I just had to show you guys this photo. They are somewhat copying each other.
As Mary Poppins said, "Step in time!"

That’s awesome 😁 they look like they are tap dancing 😊

Anyway hello and good morning! Hope everything is going ok l for you otherwise.

Truly seems to be doing well this morning, she is turned out in the rain hopefully that will wash the poopy stains off. I am going to call the Vet and see about putting her on cimitadine for a couple weeks. And need to figure out the dose for Meloxicam (it’s 0.6mg/kg - she is 410kg, I have 15mg tablets for myself so need to figure out how many tablets to give her - @bgmathteach ??). 😊

I tried turning the mama and chicks loose with the otjers this morning but Dorothy started causing issues with them - she blockaded them in the Hen House - evil beast. So I left the mamas in the hen house. I stand by my observation that the three Tweens were easier to integrate than these broodies…. Maybe I am just paranoid because the silkie chicks aren’t mine and I worry about them.

Ok well I better get going, need to clean stalls and floors, throw down hay, blacksmith coming at 11ish to trim horses hooves, need to fix up a place for the Tweens in the Hen House - the 1 Hatchlings are finally coming home this afternoon.

AAh! scary Aurora!

And @BY Bob tell Aurora that she has a namesake. One of my EE's with muffs is called Aurora, and the other one with muffs is called Muffin.
Let's see a photo of your Aurora.
