Hen-Rietta just wasn’t up to speed today. I have been watching her half the day, and I feel it’s only fitting that I have her inside the house with me tonight. I will give her a sponge bath, and make sure she has electrolytes and enough protein. Her hatch day is in July and she’ll be SEVEN human years old. She’s such a sweetheart Leghorn.

Awwww such a sweet girl, she and Penelope are getting up there. I think Rebecca’s crazy mama is 10.

I had a super busy past week. I even didn't spend time with my girls much. :-(

Actually it’s under control now that I have been taking the correct medication. And I have a new Cadillac in my left eye, and end of the month I will have the procedure done again on my right eye!

Yes it would jive with a more natural model of flock dynamics - where there are different age groups and genders, and if indeed they can sense kinship through scent.

Though in Marty’s case she wants to hurt her kid so what’s up with that! Ha!

Abigail went missing.
Well, she did not come when I did the food call. I panicked. Only Gaby, In Albis, and the Cream Legbars were there (Josey and Dominica think they can sleep inside. They are listening to Mozart right now). I looked around and a very certain word came to my head.

Could she be broody? She was out and about. She must have gone up while I was reading the book I was reading. She screeched at me and is acting like she is laying an egg.

They say it’s contagious but I have only had my two silkie go broody this year so far!!!!
