With the young chicks, my BRs chicks legs are yellow to a light orange, with a 'dusting' of black or grey on the legs.
So then they are not too far off from what they are supposed to be right? I hope both are really girls. They already look so different. One has more white on it while the other is still mostly black.

Bobo and Xzit. Bobo is very much lighter in barring than the other Rocks .

Hmmm, I would be concerned if one has a lot more white on it when they feather out. Until then, just enjoy them. ❤️ ❤️

I am checking in with an update on Eli and it makes me very sad.
She is seriously ill - probably terminal though I haven't given up hope.
You may remember she was poorly before she went broody and has been fine through her broody period and adopting the little Pentagonists.
On Friday afternoon however she took a sudden turn for the worse.
I could not get a vet appointment earlier than Monday afternoon and I am not certain she will last that long.
She is comfortable and has chosen a secluded spot in the Chicken Palace. Babs and the little ones have all stopped by to visit and sit with her.
Poor little flying chicken, she is sadly grounded right now.

Oh no, I am so sorry. I really had hoped she had beaten what ever ailed her. Hopefully she can make it to her vet appointment. My thoughts are with you and her.

Oh, I am so sorry to read this. I really hoped that although the mystery aliment remained a mystery that she had overcome whatever it was. Sending positive thoughts and virtual hugs your way.
