How does the hen get out to get food and water?
To block that one I simple put a milk crate in front of the entrance. Open up the coop in the morning and let everyone out. The hens that lay in the coop are normally finished by noon. After the egg rush go out and remove the milk crate so she can come out on her own. I give her time but if she has not came out in a few hours, take off the lid and carry her out. I stay outside while she does her thing, most times she is done in around 15 minutes and runs back to the eggs. Once back on the nest put the top back on and replace the milk crate.

That would be correct. Phyllis handles all the electronics. 😆
Oh no. That does not sound good. Imagine how much Beakbook she must get every day.
I wonder if she handles the account for the Kingdom of Aurora. Maybe that is why she is a pecking bag. "Post this on the account for the kingdom!" "I don't want to. It will make you luck dumb." "POST IT!!!" *Aurora peck*

Ugh. I hate bugs. You guys should see me whenever a bug, even a housefly gets within five feet of me.
I SCREAM BLOODY MURDER!
And don't get me started on spiders. Everytime I see one, I have a panic attack. (Not actually but its bad)
I would have suggested raising mealworms, but maybe that is not the best idea. They are actually not gross and pretty easy to handle and not a lot of maintenance to take care of them.
Those junebugs here terrify me. I am afraid of one hitting my eye or going into my mouth.

Awwww they are so sweet 😊 owww! That’s my earring! Owwww that hurts!

Petunia and Seagull.

One of my favorite sayings is "I love all my animals but I only like a few people "
Truer words were never spoken :)

Though I sometimes wonder what my neighbours think of me prancing around out here everyday with the horses and now chickens :)

My neighbours to the north have known me over 30 yrs so they know I am nuts. But the ones to the south only about 15 yrs hahaha. There I was prancing around in my leggings, muckers, swimsuit, topped with my ratty old ball cap, chasing chickens yelling 'go home, Rose, go home, Mr P I swear I am gonna get mad, now get home'.... I must be a sight to behold and hear!

Oh my gosh look at this chick Little Grey - I wonder what colour egg she will lay? I will have to keep her to find out I guess.

Petunia and Seagull.
I don’t mind them roosting there but the little nuggets they drop down my back are just freaking me out!

Gosh it’s just too bad Bob was so far away, I would bring him some of Marty’s and Henny Penny’s Polish x Silkie eggs to hatch if he had a broody 😊

Bob needs to talk me into a road trip! Or a rendezvous so I can give him some eggs 🥰

No enabling at all there…..

Oh and maybe a couple from Mr P and Buttercup, just because you know the blue egg thing and all that jazz 😁

Happy Caturday
Please refrain from criticizing that I have a cat on the kitchen table (I know, I know, but they do rule my life), and that I am advertising a brand of running shoe (as recommended by my foot doctor).

All good, shoes on the table, cat on the table, heck I bet we have all had a chicken or two on the table! (Live I am meaning by that!)

My rooster used to chase my youngest brother all the time. He is still nervous around my hens because of it.
I didn’t know to put a laugh emoji or what! I opted for a heart because I know people can be nervous with animals, and it makes me a bit sad they do t know the joy they can bring.
