My dad told me that the only way I can keep a rooster from this clutch, is if I gave Pastel away.
And you know what your girl Pastel said?
"Well, that is never going to happen, so goodbye roosters."
I swear he looked so mad!
Poor roo, no one likes him 🤣

I looked up a Silver Welbar, so this is what she is supposed to look like? So pretty 😍View attachment 3546042
Good pictures. Yes, that is the silver version of Bernadette.
What puzzles me is that she currently has so much white on her. The picture on the bottom left looks like a younger version with more white - so maybe she is heading to look like that.

Here is Bernie who is a Gold Welbar.

And while on the subject of Sylvie, she has noticed the rafters. I may be in trouble.

Wattles developing! Do these look like they belong to a four week old female?

Maybe some breeds have wattles and combs developing in pullets at this age, mine don’t have so I am not sure at what age they develop in breeds with them.

At this point I am having serious worries about Martina, I noted she also has a comb and some wattles developing. But again I have very little experience with wattles!

Which little is this one? And do you know what breed? That way you can compare a male with a pullet at that age 🥰

Oh and wow are they really 4 weeks old now?!

Thank you @Ponypoor for reminding everyone.
I will add that the reason there is a tax system is to try to keep this thread mainly focused on chickens, and stories about chickens, and not have it become a random chat thread.
There are many random chat threads that can be used for random chat.
Of course we are a community, and it is nice to hear about each other’s lives and be able to support each other in many ways, so it isn’t like we want an absolute rule to enforce only chicken talk.
But, we have already lost people who brought a lot of value to this community because they do not have the time to keep up with idle chatter.
All that just to say, keep a high bar for why something is worth sharing here, and if it isn’t chicken related include tax in the same post.

And here is my posting etiquette tax: Sylvie looking grown-up.

I think that she is a Speckled Sussex and her name is Goneril.

Yes, four weeks old!

The breeder says that they have 97 percent accuracy on sexing, so hopefully just some early wattle development.
