She’s in her twilight years for sure, but she’s still beautiful as ever!

School Chicks

Tonight I put the chicks in the new Summer House, I need to put in the ledges for roosting and a couple nest boxes and a brooder section.

I put a quick platform for them but they were not interested in roosting on it; I ended up hauling in the animal crates for them to roost on. But I know they were unhappy poor wee babies.

Tomorrow I will have the proper ledge up for them, so that should make them happier. It’s also very open and big which I am sure they are not happy with. But it’s just too cramped in the Hen House for everyone.

I was toying with the idea of moving everyone over to the Summer House and leaving the Hen House for a broody centre, but I figured it would be easier to just move the one broody rather than 13 upset chooks.

I’ll need to adjust this camera so I can see everything.

And then I won’t need glasses. My distance vision is improved 100%
After this is all over, I will resume my flights! Yay
