I think I might remove the carpet and put in hardwood flooring in its place. Who has carpeting in their homes these days anyway?

My surgery is in six hoursOh no! If you can, make something else. Food will probably help ease the frustration of the accident.
Edit: jump in the car and go grab favorite “fast food”![]()

I did something different that may work especially in California.I think I might remove the carpet and put in hardwood flooring in its place. Who has carpeting in their homes these days anyway?![]()
Ohh thats right! Sandwich it is then. Sorry. Good luck on your surgery, I hope it goes as well as the first one!My surgery is in six hours
They literally fight for those. But I'd kind of like to eat some myself. The rest of my garden is doin nothing this year. You mentioned the tomatoes. I think they would prefer them
I definitely see what you mean. I think it might be worth posting on the emergency threads. My understanding is that the penguin stance (which is certainly looks like) is because when the abdomen is full of stuff (ascites liquid, tumor, stuck egg, internal laying yolk) that it is a better stance to help with breathing and to reduce pain. All of which makes sense except she doesn't look like she is in pain and is if anything rather perky. We love Ellie a ridiculous amount. She just turned 1.
As for Sheba, she is still off, though she seems a bit perkier this morning. But her posture is just wrong. Here's the video.
Here's a pretty good still.

This is not how she looked, even a couple days ago. This was taken the 23rd.

This is her normal stance. This was taken 3 months ago.

She acts fine really. She didn't eat the scratch I tossed to get the video, but neither did the others. My husband says they're holding out for tomatoes.
It's been suggested Manny injured her? Maybe I should move him to give her a break? I still have the little coop from when they were small. It's not big enough, but 1 randy rooster would fit fine.
Did you call in the chicken clean-up crew?Ouch!I had my breakfast on a plate and I was hoping to sit in the living room and eat, but NO NOT THIS TIME. I tripped over the carpet boarder and the plate ( with eggs, hash browns, steak and muffin) went flying out of my hands. I fell to the floor, but saved the drink I was holding. I can’t eat it now because the gritty stuff in the carpet is not very clean. Bummer that I’m still hungry!
Thanks. I have posted there, which is where it was suggested she was hurting from Manny being so rough. I'll supplement that post with the newer photos.I definitely see what you mean. I do hope she is OK.
