Trying to get 2fers but it is hard. Best I could manage was a 2x2fer.
Then I got mobbed and my pant leg seriously pecked at.
Finally just for @RebeccaBoyd - Tassels is turning into a very large and rather splendid looking chicken!

They are all turning into lovely ladies. Tassels is just a little extra. I can see she is winning you over. Next spring I will ask if you are ready for more feathered leg beauties.

She certainly is winning me over. I think she is lovely, and she promises to be quite fluffy (not just on her feet).
🥰

Tried to sit out here relaxing but I was mobbed by chicks!

Gives me an opportunity to see if they are girls or boys.

I am sure this little splash is a girl, and what’s with those orange brown feathers coming through? It must be a Mr P thing.

Greetings! All is well today.

Sheba still looks "off", but she also seems to feel fine.

She's more horizontal, but still looks squatty. She laid today.

I can't believe I didn't realize Meanie is head hen. Duh. She struts around like a showgirl. The difference between her and the other girls is striking.

Finally, Eenie, laying or not, still is settled in on those eggs. But she can be snapped out of her brood coma with those tomatoes. I got some mealworms in her today and she hopped out for a bite.

I got one of those mouse traps that was suggested and there are two in it now, waiting to be disposed of. That's the husband's job. Strangely, the Bucket of Doom hasn't caught a thing!
