Okay, so yes, I got a new cable to connect the camera to the computer;

This is m y cross beak girl. (Much better pics than the last one - you can see it is severe cross-beak) I have some dental 'hooks' that should be arriving tomorrow that I will try to glue to her beak (one top & one bottom - on opposite sides) and hook an elastic on at night to try to move the bottom half in line. At the moment it is still pretty flexible (i.e. the jaw is not yet 'hard set') but it is no longer quite as movable as it was just a week ago. I've been bringing her in nightly to make sure her crop is FULL at bed time, and added a deeper waterer and cup food dish so she can eat and drink easier.View attachment 3557844View attachment 3557845Oops, and yes, that is a bit of chick crumble on her lower jaw! I keep saying 'she' but I really don't know. I think 'her' comb is a bit red, but no waddles are starting yet. so :idunno She has cute little muff and beards - so I am pretty sure she is 1/2 CM and 1/2 EE..
Oh, the poor baby. I hope that you can get her beak somewhat fixed!

Button (left) and Sunny on my lap. Notice a trend? Sunny likes to get on momma's lap. I am totally fine with that! I hope she does this forever. I want a lap chicken.:)

Is he out tom catting around ?

He just wants an adventure!
Adventure? He's been one knackered old fart all day today. He ate something that made him sick, so i made him have activated charcoal and got him too go out for an hour. He came back in ate more food and has done nothing but sleep. So have I and the dog. We are all tired tonight it's been a really busy day for us, except for that adventurous cat 💤 :D

Oh bless her. :love

How are you? Has everything been sorted out?

Poor little thing!
Is she eating OK with the deep bowl?
Somewhat. If I can catch her in the morning, I give her some food then, too. She can eat from the new dish, but she only gets a crumble every 3rd or 4th try. :( I am so hoping the dental hooks and elastic help. Unfortunately, with my work schedule, it can only be on overnight - another bummer. But, if I can close the gap even to half of what it is, it will make a HUGE difference. The poor dear. Momma doesn't like me handling them, and I have difficulty reaching them under the nest box - so what does momma do in the morning? Run there and call them the moment I open the top of their broody tractor. Thankfuly they still sleep with mom in the nest box, so I can easily get her after dark.

Who is hiding behind that window

“O' What may man within him hide, though angel on the outward side!”

(Shakespeare: Measure for Measure, Act 3, scene 2)

I am missing by count (on the cameras) one and I bet there are two in that window hiding!

Guess I will just need to drag my derrière out there and get them settled for the night, then I will know 😊
