So I officially have a broody on a hidden nest. My prediction of Indigo was wrong. I saw her coming from the east side (tall grass on the far side of the Russian olives) yesterday and didn't think anything of it....until closing the coop and she was missing. Left the bird door open for her just in case.

Fast forward to this morning. She turned up shortly after the breakfast hullabaloo ended. She inhaled food, drank a bit, scratched around, dropped a massive poo, preened quickly, and slipped back into the grass.

Guess who?

Tina was afraid to come out because of the birds. Surprisingly she let me cuddle her for a good while yesterday and enjoyed herself with princess and pusscat after that

What kind of birds? My chickens have a blast chasing the birds haha, Rose stalks them and then tries to catch them.

I was so busy running around with my nieces hen and trying to get a place for her here.

You didn’t miss the party, it’s her hatchday today. Party will start around noon, sadly the cake hadn’t arrived yet.

Oh thank goodness! I didn't miss it - what day is it anyways? I keep loosing track of time when I am not working!
