Tough decision no matter what.I am not sure about them all going.
They like company but they also can be mean to each other. Many animals retreat from the group as they prepare to die.
My instinct is to take one and accept that the friend will be stressed on the way home but will get over it when she sees she is safely back at her coop.
So very hard.
Set aside some funds. Maybe build a water tower to be safe.Pressure valve. That is the thing that controls the pump.
He said my whole setup is old so I should be prepared for it to fail at some point and that it will be a big job when it happens. But no need to do it today.
That's a young lady. Congrats!Ok everyone, they are almost 5 weeks now. Owly is a Americauna or fancy word for Easter Egger. There was some suspicion a week and a half ago about her being a boy. She does not act it and I cannot see any boy traits on her yet. She is my favorite, willingly seeks me out to sit on me so that probably does mean she is a male but there is hope. What do you all think.

When we dealt with the well, the first thing to go was the electrical box. Replaced it, great! Water! 24 hours later...pump died. Started fishing it out, dropped it. Luckily the well was only 80 feet deep. In fishing for it, the pit less connector broke. Once fished out, took the broken connector in to see about replacing that part. Guy at the shop: haven't seen one of those in 15 years. Result: whole new connector pieces and digging down outside of well casing to water main through frozen ground to 7 feet plus room to work. The whole thing kept growing.Pressure valve. That is the thing that controls the pump.

Mine would have stood at the door screaming. Piglet is way smarter than any of mine.Well I dithered. @featherhead007 you had a say in that!
I flicked the door closed but didn’t latch it. Then I sat in the run trying to decide what to do.
While I did that, Piglet opened the door and let the others in.
I need to be more decisive tomorrow night.
I was just going to ask the same thing
Is that a real rabbit? You have started my nightmares again!
The guy suggested I keep some of my empty cat litter buckets full of water with a splash of bleach so I have extra flushing capacity ‘just in case’.
Smart idea but somehow alarming!
Flush tax - evidence that I am innocent of the charge of starving Bernadette. She routinely accuses me of starving her. I offer this silhouette in my defense
