Tuff and I shared some yogurt- I need to trim the sides of her beak, she had her beak cropped when my niece bought her, and I guess the sides have become over grown.

I am not convinced either way with this one (nor the right chick of he 2 black ones)

I would really need to see a clear shot of their tail feathers and saddle feathers. For me, that is a really good indicator (especially for pea type combs, but I still use it for all comb types - even straight combs as a definitive guide for 'late bloomers. The feathers don't lie.)

That said, I would give it another 1-2 weeks. Though, with that many roos, you could have a 'late bloomer' that is keeping his identity secret.

Regarding the pullet - she is free ranging with your other chickens, yes? Or at least they can see each other? If so, I would think she will integrate fine. That said, she will be the lowest until lay - and will have to fight to move up (if she will ) after that.

If you don't want/need another pullet - I'm sure someone who takes a roo will appreciate another hen, too.

Broody mom #3 had some outside time with her babies this weekend - and the TSC chicks did, too. I put them next to Momma's chicks, hoping they may start to 'get to know' each other. See my 'warm-up' box in the back of the TSC pen? There is a heated brick wrapped in cardboard inside the box. A few would run in their and stand on it for a bit, then run back out.

Unfortunately, when the TSC chicks would run through the wires into Momma's pen, she was less than welcoming! But, other than a quick peck to let them know they weren't welcome, nothing else happened, and they soon learned not to enter her space. (though, one would keep popping in and running with hers - and that ONE, she didn't seem to 'reprimand' )

When you put them out in dog crates like that do you do anything to teach them that the crate is their safe place to run back to?
I have always been nervous that they would exit the crate and not know to go back.
