Never rains but pours….

Was giving eggs away and then I had a whole bunch stockpiled in the fridge and was about to just waste them, when two people contacted me, one wanted 20 dozen!!!! I told him I have 8 dozen he agreed. Mum and I ran around scrounging up eggs and had 10 dozen for him!

I have another person who wants 3 dozen so now I just need to yell at the girls to lay eggs in the NEST BOXES and not hide them away 😁

Have a good night all.

My grandson has a missing tearduct and he's having an operation this week. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Are there any suggestions on keeping this eye clean after the operation? I say himalayan salt in sterilised water but my family would appreciate some input from you guys. I have told them how helpful you have all been. Plus has anyone heard of this medical procedure being done before and the timescale on this healing??
Mrs BY Bob says if it what she thinks it is not to worry. It is in and out surgery and completely healed in 2 weeks. They should be feeling better the next day.

You will be given medicine to put in the eye. Don't use anything else. She was very specific about that.

The guesses (If I missed someone (again) yell at me)

@RebeccaBoyd : Primula because of broody reputation of Brahmas
@RoyalChick : Pear, Maizie at a stretch
@Ponypoor : "one of my lovely girls", more specific: hope it's not Thing, going with Silver due to older ladies going broody
@bgmathteach : Not Jessica (too obvious), so Maizie or Primula
@BY Bob : Thing for fun
@lightm : initial guess Twirp (not broody, but expected to be creative if she ever does), round 2: Maizie or Pippa.

Blue lady

View attachment 3572130View attachment 3572131View attachment 3572132My Storm cloud. Orphaned at 3 weeks, raised by Silver and Pear (and a slew of pullets, and Cheetah, only 9 weeks older than she is). A quiet lady, slips into the coop, lays her egg, slips out. No fuss, no drama, just goes about her business. An independent lady not willing to take much from young idiots. Whiskey was doing some serious courtship to which she responded well. Most (if not all) of her eggs in the clutch will be his. There are a few odd ones in there.
Hello pretty lady! I thought about you as my answer... because my blue lady, Inky, is broody too!!! 2nd time this year.
