I have been wanting to do this for some time now. I knew once I started doing this there would be no going back. So I am now diving in and I hope you all enjoy coming along for the ride.

First of all let me tell you how we view our flock as that will help you to understand why we treat them like we do.

Our birds are our pets and we treat them as such. We do not care if someone is not laying eggs. They are welcome to stay at Fluffy Butt Acres until they pass naturally. (Now don't go telling them that! I would hate for word to get out) We do thoroughly enjoy the fresh eggs.

I plan to tell stories from the past as well as from today. I hope you all enjoy and will share stories of your flocks as well.
The name is amazing, so is the coop!
well done

Some of my friends are coming over to my place tomorrow. As you all know, I were supposed to go to my other friends house, but I can't because of her horse Ruger.
We decided to hang out at my place tomorrow. Dakota can't come because of the horse, but three of my other friends are coming.
I'm eggcited because I get to show off my chooks.

She is adorable. I will tell Piglet she has a sister from another mother. But beware, look at the video I posted a few pages back, Piglet is not all sweetness and calories.
She is a mayhem maker too.

I really should expect nothing less from Owly. Raven is her mother, well, adopted mother. There was a time long ago when Raven was threatened with a name change to Crow because of her antics.

In this kind of heat, I prefer a cool dark space to relax. The birds are laying about in the yard, In the sun spreading out their wings (in the heat of the day)

I don't know if I did right in the past but I finger fed my girls when they weren't eating. It's worked really well for flexi Tina and Agatha. They came back into eating again. However it failed with Amber :(
They all get finger fed, since they were babies. Butters is just not interested, we’ll, she shows interest and comes over, but then judges she won’t eat it.

I don't *think* I got a cockerel. There was some speculation when Pip was 5 weeks old, but I think she has grown into her comb a bit.

I have an issue with Pip... I think she has coccidiosis. I saw a small clump of wet bedding that looked to be wet with blood. Pip's butt has some red streaks on her butt fluff. She's also rather lethargic today, though she did get on my lap. So I'm treating with Corid.

She has really snuck her way into my heart. She's even more of lap sitter than Sunny. She'll be the first up on my knees when I sit down on my special seat that I have in their part of the run.

:fl :fl Hang in there, my Little Pip.
Praying for her recovery. :hugs :hugs

Look at this sweet little face

She is pure innocence I tell you. Not a naughty bone or feather on her.

Mom is ready to change her name from Owly to vulture. I have been teaching them to come eat out of my hand instead of having stuff thrown out for them. Owly is also @RoyalChick Piglets sister from another mother. She likes to eat and is not afraid to tangle with the big girls to get her fair share. This morning mom had already gave the flock a bun treat when Raven and her crew came around the back of the house. She started to tear up a bun for them to toss when I told her nope, let them come to you. All it took was waiving a bun in their direction for them to rush up the steps to us. Owly in her excitement grabbed several chunks of the bun. She also grabbed mom's finger twice. When the bun was gone she then proceeded to chase Trixie off her cat food to steal several bites before mom noticed. I think our Queen Aurora would be very proud of this little vixen. I think Aurora has it wrong though, you do not need spicy food to grow a beard. Beards make you spicy!
I will let Aurora know. She will be excited to hear another little one is following The Way. 😁

It is a privacy setting. Bob may even have helped you set it up originally (I have a vague recollection).
But, I believe if you PM him first then you can chat.
That is correct. You need to PM me @WhoDatChick I should check and see if we already have a PM going

See these chickens? They're feathered a-holes.

Both ladies laid in random spots on the floor. God forbid they use the nest boxes.

Eenie ventured out today while I was filling her water and food. While minding her own business at the waterer, Sheba gave her a viscous peck, followed by Manny chasing her about. 😡 I finally got them locked out before Meanie could join in.

Eenie relaxed and proceeded to have a little spa day. I suppose a expectant mom deserves a little pampering.
