Yeah the pilot didn't say anything about it but the even more interesting thing was that I could look straight at the sun and it didn't hurt, it was Aldo a shining green like seen in the photo I put down below.

Likely an Aurora Borealis then. It's likely that Pilots see them so often that they don't bother commenting on them, unless a passenger asks about them.

I was wanting to enter some pics in the garden contest, was wanting your honest opinion- are any of these pics worth entering??
1. Potatoes in foreground with garlic intertwined, corn in background- and bean plants right in front of corn. we use groundcover plants to help nutrient in soil.
2. Artichoke
3. Zucchini in front of corn
4. Zucchini and corn
5. Corn with some bean plants infront.

I like the 3rd and 4th.
The first is a lovely composition but your shadow and the shadow of a pole of some kind mess it up a bit.
No harm in entering!

I have been putting off making this announcement until it became official. Louis just left for his new home. My mother is heartbroken but it was not fair for him to rarely be ridden. Rosie has Russ and dad focuses on Dirt. A classmate of Rosie's bought him. He will now have his own 14 year old boy to spoil him rotten. This has been in the works for 2 weeks now and he just left about 30 minutes ago. He did not have far to travel, his new home is down at the barn. The big house has been rented by his new family so mom will get to see him daily. Honestly, I do not know if that is a good thing but for now it is a comfort to her. Louis was her 1000lb big red dog. I am saddened but also happy. Rosie will have a riding buddy, they are already planning on trail rides. On Keegan's first time trying Louis out Rosie and Russ showed him her favorite trail.
Thank you Louis, thank you for being Rosie's first teacher. Thank you for being a confidant. Now go forth and shine. You will no longer have to share you time and attention with 2 other horses. Every pet, hug and kiss will be yours and yours alone.

And really glad he will be close by so your mum can see him, and Rosie can go for some nice hacks on the trails.

Did you see that video of the Japanese Beetle Gumball dispenser? I can’t remember who posted it but it made me wish I hadn’t so successfully got rid of the blighters!
Put them in the dome part of an empty chicken waterer. They will crawl out of the narrow exit where the water normally flows into the tray. The chickens will eat them one at a time as they emerge.
Darn I wish I could find the video - it was in BYC but not this thread. Hilarious.

I get a bucket with a couple inches of water in it, then I find the little blighters on the branches, shake the branch and they fall into the water in the bucket. They can't fly out that way.

Then I pour the water and beetles on the floor in the barn and watch the free for all! A great seething mass of glistening beetles all being gobbled up by greedy chickens

I haven't seen a June Bug in years I fear them all gone from this area. I also noted that there are less fireflies also this year.

The Japanese Beetles are not as plentiful as last year but definitely abundant.

Well not sure what whoever is opening her up expects to find, unless they have a background in pathology.

I would say if it's a Brahma then likely it's the heat, those birds are extremely heavily feathered and the heat is a killer of all animals with heavy feathers/fur. And I know you are experiencing extreme heat your way.

Unless she was experiencing other symptoms such as runny nose/eyes, uncoordinated movement, not eating... etc.

Extremely sad at any rate. And a Brahma to boot - so lovely with that colouring

She even had feathered feet for @RoyalChick.
I think it was the heat. She was also very slow according to my siblings. The others were running around.
