No one should cry before going to work. Pull all of your documentation together. That is the definition of a hostile work place. Perhaps an attorney would be a good choice after you "retire" because of the stress and anxiety of working there.

@bgmathteach

Yes eggcellent suggestion, I was going to make it but wasn’t sure of things in the US.

I would say that you have a case for workplace harassment and bullying, and your manager should not be a manager if others are also being intimidated by her.

Happy Monday!

Wendy the big girl is looking good.

Poor Light still has impacted crop, while molting. ☹️ we've tried everything. Her energy level is good. Vet appointment tomorrow. It's a 2 hour ride though.

But her feathers are all looking good!

Everyone is really ticked off today, I put some of that netting I bought to cover the run and put it across the temp fencing so they can’t fly over top of it, of course the escape artists are all furious, but I don’t want anyone killed by that fox.

I popped into my office/feed room to have a snack and Petunia was quick to take up residence on my knee 😁

Don’t get comfy kiddo I am out of here as soon as I eat my banana!

And a few undoctored pics

with the 'doctored' pics, can you also see them in undoctored form? or, once you take the pic in that setting, that is what you have?

I was thinking that some of these shots are super - and might look cool to have the original in the center of the (a) page, with 'doctored' flanking it. (yes, I know it can be dangerous for me to think😆.)

Storm's pic was the impetus for this thought - WONDERFUL shot! btw: if in 'normal' mode, definitely a POW and calendar pic❣️❣️❣️❣️

You are responsible for a very vivid dream I had last night. Well you, but also @Ponypoor, @RebeccaBoyd, and @GregnLety .
I dreamt I was urgently trying to get everyone back into the Chicken Palace. This is an evening routine for me so not unusual except there was some menace - a storm or a pack of coyotes or some combination. I was fearful but also very action oriented.
I had just about managed to get everyone in when I spot a tiny chick running around outside.
At first I was just 'hey get in here' and then I realized I don't have any chicks nor a rooster.
And then there were more chicks.
I walked back to investigate where they were coming from and found a previously unknown (but strangely familiar) walled garden that was very overgrown and neglected and incidentally had a whole heap of the pots I need in real life to take some cuttings this Fall.
In this walled garden were at least three gorgeous roosters, a collection of unfamiliar hens, and chipmunk chicks running everywhere.
While I was standing there one of the roos - a huge beautiful chap a bit like Cholo but with more red - caught and battered to death a very large rat.
And at that point I woke up with a start.

Dream tax: hens at work

Mugs Monday

Lovely beard and mugs on Misty, thinking she is mama to Muffy and Maybe Petunia - can a blue and splash give petunias colouring?

Also Whiskers is going broody, she has plucked her breast feathers and is running around going BUK BUK BUK…and fighting with Raven, guess she is wanting chicks also.

I told her she was a couple months too late, better luck next year.

I really wanted to laugh at this - but also send you hugs!

I have (if I counted correctly - they don't like to stand still long enough!) 61 babies - the oldest is the 5 that cross beak is a part of, the youngest hatched sometime Sat night. (Crop girl is a mum!! She is brooding 6 babies - yay for her!!!) And I still have a few more broodies sitting - 2 due to hatch any day now...and who knows about timing for two more:idunno

I will say, though, that I cheated slightly - I ordered 15 meat birds (red ranger type - I will never do CX again, personally), and bought a couple pullets& s.r. to put under a mom who only hatched 1 chick as previously mentioned.

hmmm, upon dissecting your dream, I have come to the following conclusion:

Your brain is attempting to:
A) Make you realize that you are 'missing' your babies and suggesting getting more to ease you 'empty nest' anxieties.

B) Trying to show you just how beautiful and useful roosters are. It is saying "you know you want these - see - it is a good to get some"

and, my final analysis:
C) Cuttings, and hence their grown counterparts are lovely. See what a gorgeous space you can and will create with your nurturing of cuttings!!! go for it.

In other words: all this beauty and life is within your reach - take the plunge! especially with the Roo, as more chicks will follow - and thye all will help 'groom' and maintain your expanded garden!
