Thanks - the black feathers is just so out from left field! I would never have expected it. Where Floyd came from is beyond me. The only thing stranger would have been if they were white! Well not splash I mean - seems I got lots of splash and that I can believe with Mr P being splash. I now have 3 black pullets and from a distance I cannot tell them apart I have started calling them all Tippy.I love your birds! They have such beautiful feathers and the black ones have such glossy sheen feathers!
If it is a 'she', how about Velvet? (in terms of 'black velvet '- except she isn't black")???That "wee brown coloured one" is almost a dead ringer for papa Whiskey. I'm already debating Whiskey derivative names for it: bourbon, scotch, Jack daniels, Jameson, glenfiddich....
Yep well Rico almost got put into the soup pot earlier - still could happen.I am really hoping he turns out to be a well behaved roo and gets to stay as a Mr.P. apprentice!
And here I was thinking 20ml! Was going to suggest 10ml tops if she was eating! That sounds like a lot. I figured 30ml was all I felt comfortable putting down in one go.
That is a good amt I would say - hopefully it all goes down smoothlyThat is really good to know!! 30ml it is tonight.
Lovely photos - that is a lovely feather, love the colours on it.Some fun photos the kids took
The tweens are definitely doing a mini molt their feathers are everywhere.

Too late! Phyllis has already flipped herself many, many times!Let’s not flip Phyllis okay?
AWESOME JOB!The shade cloth is up, or, as I call it, the black sails. It's still very breezy today, with the wind coming from the south and going right in the doors, so the fans are not woth bothering with. I know the shade will help the run. Hopefully the coop. View attachment 3590776
Is currently 96 out and in the coop...also 96. At least it's not hotter inside. Eenie and the triplets aren't panting. There's plenty of cold water, electrolytes, and damp earth for everyone outside. That's about all I can do. Can't wait to have a better coop.
They've actually lowered the temps in the forecast. Hopefully they lower more. View attachment 3590785
