RC made great synopsis.I am nearly 50 pages behind. I will probably just jump ahead. I hope everyone's chickens are doing well.
Eggs confiscated. Jessica removed from nest multiple times (have the scratches on 1 arm to prove it, no blood drawn). Packed her out multiple times (remarkably calm about it). She was on top of the nest boxes at coop close time on her own, so I suspect she's mostly ready to be done, too. 6 weeks is long enough. She does still have the buk-buk and semi-broody stance, but the others who have been thinking about it do too. No one else has committed, thankfully. Have to work today, so eggs will accumulate. Will collect tonight and put her on roost if necessary.Yep tell me about it!
I am so glad, hopefully she will improve now.
Nope sorry it wasn’t mebut it’s a great name.
depends on the season, they should be sold here now but can only find seedless (product of Mexico) for $5. Too expensive for me! I might get one be from my sisters garden and try with the chooks.
But you have Yuma close by and they are the largest growers of these items; my parents wintered there 22 yrs and always commented on how inexpensive food is there.
Do you have Flash on that electric list
Gosh they are so cute, love that Rusty coloured one - and they are so timely next to mama
Hey how are the other broodies and their eggs doing?
Sure, throw the rabbits under the bus!Yes. I am doing some fence tweaks and plan to bait it again in early Fall. Right now there are lots if baby rabbits so I hope the foxes prioritize those!
There's a population explosion among the rabbits here, too. Maybe from all the rain this spring?Sure, throw the rabbits under the bus!(the cute baby rabbits)
Last year it was the squirrels, this year the rabbits...what will it be next year?
??
It is amazing how much they eat (or, rather, a mom catches for her and her pups to eat!) Lets hope they don't tire if rabbit stew.
do you think that little light one will stay mostly white? if so, I vote for 'white lightening" and 'lite' for short. I suspect 'STATIC' would never work for one of your chicks - while it may be a form of electricity, it's other meaning is completely opposed to the ways of chicks!Mugs

View attachment 3594671So does the little electrical chick.
And a few more greetings
we have 2, and only 2 - same as last year and the year before, and the year before that...There's a population explosion among the rabbits here, too. Maybe from all the rain this spring?
I'm sort of leaning toward Electrode, Plasma, Amp, Volt, or Watt. Just ran across Spark, and Strobe.... and at the moment, Spark really suits. Will thinks on some more and seedo you think that little light one will stay mostly white? if so, I vote for 'white lightening" and 'lite' for short.
