Would vinegar of baking soda help. 🤔
I've had so many bites this year
It’s progresses to an aggressive histamine reaction - the venom causes a release of a chemical called histamine which causes swelling and itching. But it can spread if you have a severe reaction to the venom or as in my case a delayed reaction.

I can leave it and it will resolve eventually but as I keep scratching it I could get a skin infection from scratching (cellulitis), not to mention walking is itchy and painful with the swollen areas rubbing on my shoe. And antihistamine is the fastest way to get the swelling down.

Hmmmmm yes

Though to be clear, Europe is all left hand drive cars and right side roads like ‘we’ do 😊.

@lightm what side of the road do drivers travel in China?

Drive tax
Curly says not to worry, self driving cars are on the way!

We already have self driving delivery trucks here in Mississauga.
We are sane people so you know which side of the roads we drive on 😉

Someone has once put it nicely: usually it is the Island country like to drive on the bad side of the road: Japan, Britain, Australia (big island), Singapore,...

By the way, China has mostly adopted the European way of things such as education system, metric system, electric system. It was "zed" for me and all British English. Good thing my oral English was poor and I completely changed my accent.

Me and my shadow walking down the avenue…. (Song)

Love watching them sun bathing 😊

She was gone when I came home.

I didn't give her any more fluids, when I checked before leaving she was just out of the plate flat on her chest and I think her crop had disgorged some, her beak was in a wet spot of towel and she did not look good. I moved her off there, saw she was getting trampled some by the others racing about, so I cut down a square Kleenex box to fit under the plate with the bottom of the oval hole facing out, she could leave if she wanted but the higher back and sides prevented the others from climbing over her while under the plate. I put a folded washcloth in it and laid her there slightly angled up so that her head was higher when she laid down her beak.

I'd like to know what if anything I could have done better. Is two hours after getting fluids too soon for food? They supposedly hatched on Monday, and arrived here Wednesday morning, by 8am they had a little nutridrench and then the sav-a-chick electrolytes & dextrose water, and 11am a few crumbles, noon or 1pm access to more crumbles. They each seemed fine all day. Something happened in the night. They have two nightlights with light paper over them for some ambient light during the night. The other four are seemingly doing great so far (knock on wood). 20% dying is the track record so far.

Five Buckeyes hatched on a Sunday, all got here alive on Tuesday, looked fine through Wednesday, and on Thursday one died similarly, just went downhill faster, found suddenly weak and not breathing well. Just like this then, there were four. This little buff Orpington lasted longer, suffered much longer than the Buckeye. :hit :hit
This is just not unusual for chicks sadly. It seems to me like you did everything I would have done. I don't think you could have saved her no matter what you did. :hugs :hugs :hugs

I've dabbled all sorts on my bites. I didn't know what they were. But found a lot of large mosquitoes on my trap after a bit of painting in my bathroom.

I was shocked to see the size of the mosquitoes 🦟

I need to cover my chair seat and the back of the chair as they can fly up there now.

Yesterday I was wearing shorts in the barn (which I never do as those stable/house flies bite), but my sting location was irritated by clothing, then one of those chicks hopped up on my lap and scratched the reddened swollen section! Owww!
?How does covering the chair seat help with not getting scratched by chickens when wearing shorts? 🤔:idunno🤔

This Pretty Hen is very sad to hear the passing of your little baby. Sometimes the way of the chicken is sad.

I wonder if we have mosquitoes here, they have never bothered us, I must as Aurora.
