:hugs I'm sooo sorry about the Covid. I had it in 2000 and spent 6 days in the ICU. Take a ton of rest and fluids. Get well soon!

Oh no! So sorry to hear you were so ill back then, I won’t whine about my having it again 😟

But I sure am glad you got well from it and joined us here on BYC 💕💕

Re: your hen - not sure if there really is anything you can do for her, she sounds like she is eating well and acting normal otherwise, my best advice is to keep doing as you’re doing and keep her happy. If she seems in pain you can try 1/2 a low dose aspirin twice a day for a few days. Or also baby Tylenol. I used both on Tuff with good results.

Hash, Mashed, Baked, Twice, Fried, Scallop, Yukon, Russet, Red, Purple, Sweet, Yam (last aren't truly potatoes, but the theme fits)....lots of options if a potato theme is decided upon. Alternatively: Stuffing, Pumpkin, Gravy, Green Bean, Pecan, Cranberry for a theme revolving around Butterball.... lots of options. Looking forward to @ChicoryBlue's formal introduction. I still have 2 needing names to, one of which I'm stumped on at the moment.

Darn am I doing it again? Mixing people and chooks up?

:th

Ok Storm babies are yours now bgmathteach’s

Sheesh - I cannot seem to keep them all straight! And today I was calling Truly, Sophia!

I am worse than my mum going through everyone’s names before I get the right one!

And now you know why when I am working I call the guys ‘Buddy’! Names are interchangeable! 😁

How about snowflake 😊 it’s a pullet you know so that would be a cute name for her 😁

I would think she couldn't walk if she had an active break - I was thinking more like something broke and healed in a non-aligned way.
It is probably a far-fetched idea - it is just the way she walks and the fact that she is fine otherwise - as in energetic, eating, pooping (as we saw!).
Is it possible she had some kind of injury and healed?
Not really. She was fine, then this started just the next day. She had no periods where she was injured or ill.

I was never so sick in my life. My husband's had it twice, but the 2nd time his was just a bad cold. Crazy stuff. You take care of yourself.

She never seems in pain, not even when Manny's being amorous. Then she seems annoyed.

Who’s a handsome boy - Rico that’s who.

He’s turning into a fat little dumpling, and he seems to have settled down with regards to Tuff, though I did catch him today harassing her.

Mr P has pummeled him a bit this week so he is starting cool his jets a bit.

But it’s still Penne who is hanging with Mr P and the grups, tidbitting for them with Mr P.

I need to go and see that video again, can she hop up on things and fly up on things?

This looks like rosemary to me. My favorite herb.

Sheba remains well...or at least okay. She still stands and walks wrong... for lack of a better word.

And her eggs are all over the place. A week's worth doesn't really look like they're all from the same hen! Is this much day to day variation normal? This is six days in a row.View attachment 3599689

 I just don't know what to do with her. :(
Ok so no the poop is fine.

She seems to be crawling like she has some weights or something, have you had a really good feel around her belly, back, legs, butt?

I try to just grab up a random chicken a couple times a day and give them a good old groping, they scream bleeping murder some of them but it gives me a clue as to what’s normal or not.

Right now I have Larry who has a bald butt, and some broken feathers on her tail and back. It’s very a disturbing groping her bald butt haha!

It’s a good way to get your chooks used to being handled and to check for anything abnormal. Tonight I grabbed Mr P off the roosting shelf and plucked a feather from his coiffe and checked his nails and spurs - need to trim them some more. His coiffe doesn’t need re-trimming yet.
