They've eaten grit and also mash, now coming back to grit. They may think the grit is like their crumbles. I'm thinking just remove it for now, next batch of mash sprinkle it on.

Yes. They don’t need much grit and debatable at day old anyway if just crumbles (they will need grit if they can eat grass from a lump of sod).
So once they have all eaten some grit I would take it away for a few hours at least.
I like the new tote idea.
I have no experience of coccidia so others should weigh in - but medicated feed isn’t a guarantee - might they need actually treating with Corid?
Could a vet look at their poop for you?

I am so sorry this is happening.
:hugs :hugs

I would remove the grit for a bit but after they have tanked up on mash, put it back. They should have it on hand for a they need. They will not over fill on grit if food is available. So in addition to the mash, leave dry food available for when they want.
Oh I like that approach. You don’t want them eating grit instead of mash, but once they have filled up on mash give them access to grit.
Incidentally I first gave mine grit on day 2 or 3 and they dust bathed in it which was cute.

Two good poops, would like to see a third one
Ah there it just appeared

Getting the waterer in. Fingers crossed now. Hopefully all the chick pics is making up for hogging your thread?
Three good poops. Forget my coccidia comment.
We are all rooting for your little ones!

That should do it then. Can the others still see her?
So I actually decided to move to my feed room. It much bigger and I got her water and feeder out of the crate. The feed room has a locking screen door and the flock can still see her. However she is rather far from them. She seemsuch happier, but when I was moving her in there I forgot to close the door and she escaped! She left for about an hour and then while I was cleaning the coop she started doing this clucking sound that I hear when hen talk to their eggs. She also slowly walked towards the feed room after I opened the door. Then when one of the younger rooster came in to see what she was doing she fuffed up like a basketball and growled at him and then when he walk closer to her she attacked him then she went back and sat on her eggs! She is now happily brooding her eggs and I've closed the door to the feed room so she is all by herself.

I just found a new favorite hobby that involves my chickens! So I recently have had a problem with extra eggs and now that I have four more layers! I was looking at what I can make to get rid of extra eggs, and that's when I realized that to make a small batch of pasta dough it only takes 8-10 eggs! So for anyone who has extra eggs I'd 100% suggest you make some pasta dough and go make some cool pasta.

I'd love that recipe 😋
I've never made pasta

Thank you for your guidance, @Ponypoor too! I've been beside myself and it's so helpful. Fingers crossed now.
First sunbath? She even stretched her feet out

:hit

Oh I am so sorry the second one passed away, oh theses wee fragile chicks, they sure do try us at times.

I haven’t used chick grit, but then my kiddos are outside in the dirt and picking through whatever they find in the barn (oooo yummy horse poo!) as soon as I can get them out and about.

I like the idea of changing their housing to rule out any other pathogens/mold.
