Pony Sunday, plus some chickens

Here's the neighbor's horses / ponies. The people haven't been out when we've been by to talk to yet. The two large ones came over and the rust colored one put its nose and neck out so I pet her. I think it's a mare....she might be the first one they got and the young girl's horse. Then she moved it's nose in closer, next to my neck, and stayed there for a minute. Smelling my sweaty neck? I do like how horses smell. The dappled small horse didn't come over. That's the newest one here I think.

The little pony-type one looked wet from rolling in mud! Or chicken poop!

Yes, I know, the clothing & shoes part is particularly tough. I’ve been dealing with each group with different clothes, but right now, both groups are outside, the chicks in their fenced-off area and the Bigs roaming everywhere else. I’m checking on both, so tracking whatever, everywhere. I’m washing my hands but not changing outfits to go from the front of the house to the back and around the barn. Not letting the chicks on my pants for now, but later, with different pants, after they’re inside and I’ve had a shower. But one stood on my shoes. My goal at best can be to minimize the load.
In the academy, we had to change from dress uniforms into physical fitness clothes within three minutes. Then changed back to dress uniforms. Over and over again. Maybe you could join a police department and learn to dress faster? :idunno👮‍♂️👮‍♂️👮‍♂️👮‍♂️👮‍♂️ :thumbsup

Now tell me how much I should be worried with this one! Thankfully I didn’t haul the loft stairs out all the way! I may have been moving more than 50 bales of hay today if she got up there!

IAM basically too lazy to haul the stairs out all the way, I just haul them out enough I can use them as a ladder!

My buddy is back for Pony Sunday. I love his ears - they are constantly on the move.
I guess that is why he is still with us.

Rabbits do that all the time-- he hears the camera, you, or whatever is taking that video. However he's not quite sure so his ears keep flicking back and forth. It's natural instinct to listen for things that could be dangerous.

Good luck with your friend the bunny :)

Managed to bathe Alinta, quick and easy and she looks so much better, at least poop wise, she is having a tough butt molt.
Then i spent and hour and a half trying to lure/catch Brenna who is even more crusty. I finally gave up and will have to bring her in after dark which she will find even more stressful. If only we could reason with them.:th

We went to the coast on Friday in an attempt to get away from the smoke. It was better than here, but not as much as we hoped.
As we walked down the trail to one beach I glanced to my right and thought "what is a polish chicken doing here?"

That’s awesome hahahaha - mind games at its best.

Love that crab 😊

Rico attacked my mum, at first she thought she stepped on him, but he did it again. Now she is terrified of him. He will have to go I am afraid 😢

I have someone coming tomorrow for the other 5 Roos so I guess he will also go with them. Yes as @fuentemoon stated, why can’t we reason with them.
