Let us take time out today to celebrate Bunny's hatchday. She is 3 today and was from Holly's first ever clutch. Happy birthday sweet girl. I have some steak fried rice to sneak out to you later on when no one is looking.

Happy mugs monday as well from the only girl who has ever been allowed to hatch in the house. On the couch no less.

Yes full time permanent.

Awwwww they have a way of doing that, but I also find animals are not hung up on disability like humans are. Having said that they seem to know that if they are ‘special’ they can get away with everything and always get the best treats 😊

Twister (one of the Azurs) yep flying everywhere - she an buttercup drive me nuts with their flying! And Eli-too, Tippy, Little Grey (who flew into the side of my head last night or!), Muffy, Butterscotch, and Petunia - they are all crazy I tell you!

Oh I didn’t realize the job was permanent. Congratulations!

Ate you keeping Penne or Floyd instead?
Not Floyd he keeps testing Mr P fighting him, so far P has wolhooped his arse, but I am not taking any chances he (Mr P) might be injured.

Penne is an option he ignores Mr P and he has been raised with him, roosts with him. But he terrorizes the gals, and the worry he has no fear of people, he likes to come and visit with me in the office and he will roost beside me.

If it was just me here Penne would be my option to stay but my mum is dead set against any Roos staying so I guess they will all go. Already she is going on about my getting rid of the hens just keeping the silkies and my niece and cousins hens. Get rid of the rest.

I will need to find someone to do chores here once I get settled in my new position; the horses will be housed at my friend’s place in the winter as usual. But I need to get someone to do the chooks this winter as mum has stated she doesn’t want to do them when it gets cold. This will be extremely difficult as I am in a rural area and people do t want to drive. I might approach my neighbour down the road and see if she wants to do them during the week, and maybe mum can do on the weeekends.

23 pages behind and I won't catch up tonight. Spent the day doing non-chicken things. Enjoying a perfect day on the water. View attachment 3621322

I did do the chicken thing first. The kids are definitely...kids. Poor Eenie. Any of you that had toddlers likely remember not even being able to go to the bathroom alone. Found Eenie on the nest with both chucks chirping away, right in her face. Ran back to the house and grabbed my phone, and this is what I found when I got back! View attachment 3621327
I bet she was happy when she finished laying that egg and made a run for it. View attachment 3621326
Looks like a beautiful day there, and I had a good laugh at poor Eanie, I am surprised she doesn’t peck at them to keep them away 😊

But I am glad that she is such a marvellous mama ❤️

You have done such a wonderful job with her and her babies 💕

This is worrisome. I hope you can find the necessary help. :fl
