Trying to open her eye!!![]()
Keep it in a dark warm place - a box, and then call for a wildlife centre in the morning. Don’t try to open the eye.Trying to open her eye!!![]()
Hattie has you bamboozled! She’s a smart one.For Lovers of Hattie
She is doing great. Her sore is healing. She jumped up on a footstool today for the first time in many months.

Even better she has started showing her wiles. She avoided me in a very clever fashion today.
Last time I caught her in the morning it was when everyone exited the complex when I opened the side door in the morning. So I tried the same thing this morning. Out they came.

Only 5 hens. Where is Hattie? OK. I can wait. So I call her. No response.
Then I hear scratch, scratch, scratch.
It's coming from the Cluckle Hut. Hattie is in the Cluckle Hut scratching around.
I call her again. Out into the porch she comes.
I watch as she tries to work her way onto the ramp and she seems to be having trouble. So I decide to go pick her off the porch. To do so I have to walk around the complex to the door into the big run.
As soon as I get to the door, Hattie jumps off the porch and sprints out across the yard away from me. No medicine for her this morning. Fooled that old human servant again.

She is this active on 1 ml per day. I'm hoping this lasts a long time.

Sadly I have no idea about doves or pigeons, except that I must avoid them at all cost at the airport.Welcome to Fluffy Butt Acers thread
Do you have chickens ? We would love to see photos of them if so. We are a chatty friendly bunch![]()

I'm way behind and I assume others have responded with ideas to help. I hope to read they are doing better.I think something is wrong with Jasmine (my EE). She hasn’t laid an egg in over a week maybe even two weeks. I didn’t think anything of it at first because she had an impacted crop awhile ago, and I know they sometimes don’t lay well for a little while after that resolves. I only had to give her coconut oil and massages a few days for it to resolve. I actually had several that I had to treat because when we first started letting them out they overdid it a little on grass.
Everyone else seems fine now, but Jasmine isn’t eating much. I tried tempting her with some mash this morning and she didn’t even try to eat it until I put some in her beak, and then only a few bites. If I take out scratch or anything she will run after it and eat a little, but she also seems a little slower getting to it. She also just seems more nervous/timid than usual. She doesn’t seem egg bound, she isn’t walking or standing weird. They all seem to be molting a little. Her comb is still red. Haven’t caught her pooping to know about that.
I’m at a loss of what else to even check for.
