Yep she wanted me to get rid of the devil child - and it was in fact Diamond. Sheesh! I was suspicious as Mr P kept chasing him and he doesn’t chase Penne.

Diamond has white ear lobes, Penne doesn’t. I had to look at some photos

OK so it was Penne - not Diamond - I have established through the fact that Penne keeps flying up onto the horse fence into the alleyway between the paddocks.

I have to go out the back call him and he comes running and I let him into the barn. Pretty sure he thinks it's a game - the brat! Good thing he is friendly with me!

I would recommend 1/4" hardware cloth all around against predators, if you have rats attacking chickens especially!

Good to know! I plan on also getting the staple gun and attaching the mesh to the front of the coop. Thanks for the recommendation on hardware cloth!

Heyyy! I’ve started understanding what we are doing. My grade is slowly going up.
I have a unit test on Monday however, and I’m not happy. (Sorry for sneaking again.) I’ve still not buried Madame. It’s a little weird having a Guinea hen in my freezer…

I only do it when they have symptoms and I can document their presence via testing.

My vet however believes in regular worming.

To me, because worms can develop resistance to anti-worm drugs, I believe we should restrict their use to when they are actually needed.

Regular worming seems to be something left over from large poultry farms.

So large poultry farms even worm? The chooks are not even around long enough I would think, to even build up a load, or even get worms if they are cages/warehoused.... ??

I have never heard of this before, but my insurance company does not want me to make a payment in advance for my premiums. They say they have me prepaid until 2025 . My records show that my account needs payment by November of this year?
That’s my northern properties , my home address property, the mountain property in California, the estate in Washington DC. And all my vehicles, except Marie. I’m confused!
