Hugs for you and I think you made the right decision. You tried with the boys and sounds like you also did the right thing by them. You gave them a chance in a new home, it is now up to them to behave. They were not even my boys and I am still upset and angry with Rico over poor Floyd.

I am over blaming him, they were all scrapping so I blame all of them. Young boys, too much hormones.

I bet that must be awesome! People in Italian treat these birds like gold! Non quality birds are very frowned upon by other breeders. That's probably also why these guys make a lot of money when sold! I'm hoping to become a well known breeder once they start breeding in April and May.

How wonderful. How did they find you or did you find them?

I advertised on Kijiji, had a bunch of people who expressed interest but they were ridiculous wanting me to drive 2 hrs to deliver them or meet halfway… or would just string me along…

This guy showed up yesterday late afternoon and told me they were for his teen boy who was chicken crazy, and his neighbour who needed a couple new Roos.

I was really expecting a person who would use them for meat. Anyways I am so hoping they will be fine, and have a good home.

If It wasn’t for the Silkies I would have kept Penne but the silkies are just too tiny and delicate. I saw your post on another Polish Roo, and that may be a good option, in the spring I will see what is around, maybe fine a young polish chick to stuff under a broody

Well now let’s see, I think I only had Fluffy, Curly, Henny Penny, Blanche, Penelope, Sophia, Buttercup, Misty and Whiskers. And that young Rooster Pangoo who is the dad of Dorothy and Rose.

I started on BYC when Henny went broody I gave her 4 eggs - I needed some knowledge on what I was doing! Then I found this thread in the Spring, I think it was.

It’s been such a great thread with the amount of knowledge I have gained.

So I guess I have had those original ladies plus Marty when things went all squirrely in this year with chicken math
