They make me itch just to look at!
Isn’t permethrin the recommended treatment?
Yes and ivermectin also; Elector PSP has been suggested but it is not avail here in Canada.

I posted about some horse fly spray I have containing
Pyrethrins 0.05%
Permethrin 0.10%

Hoping those strength will be adequate.

Kelly, I just found out that I have an opportunity to buy a Citation X750 jet aircraft for only 3,485,89.00. I only need to sell the northern property and pay for it. Sweet deal! I’d have to strip down Marie and the navigation equipment in her, but the engine life on the jet is reasonable!
Don’t forget the tax 😳 are you 5% in california?

And my chickie tax

I also have lice in my flock, though not as bad as you, and I’m also pretty sure the Leghorns and cross Marans brought it.
We don't have permethrin here so i’ve been alternating a pyrethrum+ geraniol powder, a dimethicone spray that mechanically suffocate them, and neem oil.
It works pretty well but whenever i’ve lacked consistency (I only have 18, but that's still a lot of chickens to treat) I find them back. I think you need to treat more than once a week, at least every five days.
Be careful to check for eggs above the vent. And don't make my mistake, when looking for lice you need to check not just above the neck, but also under it, under the wings, around the vent and ears. My infected chickens have maybe only two dozens and they are very hard to spot, especially on black feathers.

I’m very close with my birds. If they have lice, then I’m sorry for giving them such a burden!
