Yup. Piglet, Sylvie and Tassels regularly fly to get somewhere fast and they seem to operate mostly at around 6-8 feet.
They can fly much higher to get up into something, but just to get from A-B that is their typical cruising altitude!
Eli-too and Tippy are like that; this morning Eli-too flew up onto my shoulder straight up from the ground beside me when I wasn’t moving fast enough.

She then proceeded to be a backseat driver telling me how to open doors and to generally get my butt in gear 😁

What a bossy little thing!

One cannot get powdered stuff here, I am sure they only allow the horse spray here because the equine industry would have a hissy fit if people couldn’t put bug spray on Old Bessy,

I only use bug spray on the horses when I go riding so they do t shake their heads so much and fuss. It’s a waste to put it on them in the paddock they roll and it’s useless.

I haven’t had any issues with spraying them; I do under their wings, their vent and at the back of their necks, I also did Mr Ps head feathers they are just growing in from molting and I don’t see nits there but I didn’t want to take a chance.

No I have never seen any segments of tape worms in the chickens poop, it’s the one thing I look at every day with the horses, chooks and cat 😁
Lady, these ants in your knickers has made you obsessive over fleas nits and worms. Breathe my lovely :old😍 🤣 :D

Princess jumped on my head last night, I couldn't believe it, she got stuck in my pony tail

I went and cut my grandfather's cat's claws yesterday afternoon. While there he gave me my birthday present. He had forgotten it on the table the few times he had been up since my birthday. I kept telling him he did not need to worry about it, I am a adult, I do not need anything.
Here it is.

Ok adult of not I felt like a kid getting this. My family has finally figured out that to make me happy, throw a chicken on it.
Hahahaha cute

I have one it says fresh butt nuggets

Hey there! I am soooo far behind! I will try to read the synopsis and catch up.

All is well with my little flock. Uno is as tall as her little mama Eenie and Tres is substantially taller now. They are just over 11 weeks. I remain pretty convinced Tres is a cockrell. I have the slimmest hope we have a very early blooming hen.

They...but even more their mom...are totally crackheads for meal worms. Mean Manny and Meanie hog all the treats if they can, but Eenie is still the only one who'll eat out of my hand.

Remember the puppy pile my chickens do? Eenie had deserted her babies to return to the pile at night. I gave up on trying to get them to roost. But the other day I went to close up and...behold:

Yep...Eenie and the kids up on the top roost! I hope they poop on the mean kids who aren't bright enough to get off the floor.

That's all for now. Hope everyone's well and your chickens remain fluffy.
