And windows! (ask me how I know!)

Anyone need a bunch of single pane double-hung windows? Got lots when we replaced the old ones with energy efficient ones.....
Don’t need windows - I try to avoid glass in the barn with the horses, and now the chickens. I use plexiglass my BIL used to be able to get it for me.

I'm partial to Pear, as my beloved Rosie, who made me realize just how wonderful & smart chickens were, was a Partridge Rock...so I actually hope Cardhu is a Pear offspring! 🥰 🥰 🥰
I do too (hope she's Pear's Daughter/grandniece as Pear helped raise Storm when she was orphaned).

I'm still completely baffled by Enigma and Quartz. E looks like a classic buff orp, except feathers aren't as fluffy and she has a black tail. unless an extra egg from the in-laws hatched and she's actually from them (Havoc I know is), I'm completely baffled.

Q is snowy white, not a hint of anything else. The only white birds (when eggs accumulated) were Silver (would have at least some Colombian markings) who laid brown eggs, Blanche and PITA who lay white eggs and are splash, and Thing, also white eggs, and the mottled look come out black with the mottling hidden under it in most crosses. As a blue girl, Storm could pop a splash bird (but not with any of my roos). There were 2 brown eggs and a lot of Storm's green eggs. Neither of the brown eggs was shaped like either Nox or Mera's eggs, nor were they shaped like Primula or Belladonna. The only other brown layers: Jessica (not for the white) and Cuckoo (what happened to the barring?)

Color me shocked!

Lark and Indigo laid eggs in the coop today!

Suspect the brown egg is Pear's.

Also, Quartz is feisty, pecked at me, then turned around when I tried stroking her breast. She does have a teensy little dark streak on 1 wing feather. It makes her splash. No idea HOW that came about. Need a splash or blue roo to get that, and the only one even close to that was Zulu. 1. Way too young to pull that off. 2. All the gold would have come through. 3. Rose comb (too neat and tidy to be a partial) and Q is all straight.

Unexpected pic of how Storm was named. She hatched in those colors
