How wonderful!Catching up just a few days, and what an emotional rollercoaster. Virtual hugs to @Lilion, @rural mouse, and @Marie2020.
Pony Sunday. See you the arabian and his mini donkey friend Trotrot that for once stayed inside with him, still in the mountains with the first frost, but they are stabled at night.
(Gribouille the old horse is still with the cows, and they are on pasture on the place next to ours this week so we see them a lot.)

Today was a rainbow day. Rainbow weather feels like a metaphor of chicken keeping - a mix of dark and gloomy with sun and cheers and beauty. Hoping that all of us having sad chicken happenings will get a piece of rainbow.

I just love that too.I just love that 'breast wiggle" that broody girls do to settle the eggs under them. So cute to watch that
Lol!Electric fence for the whole perimeter paid for by the neighbors. I sound like Trump building the wall!!
Okay, I’m not usually tech illiterate… but how do I find this primer? Is opening someone’s signature just clicking on their user name?Welcome to the FBA community - my guess is you have already understood about tax, but if not, then read the primer in @BY Bob's signature. I just LOVE that picture of Dottie!
One phone, turn it landscape. It's in the name banner.Okay, I’m not usually tech illiterate… but how do I find this primer? Is opening someone’s signature just clicking on their user name?
I'm so sorry.She's gone![]()
I'm happy they're doing well. How sad for the others though. I love dogs, but I don't trust them around chickens.Twirp has a bit of a limp, but is very much wanting to be out and aboutView attachment 3678351

I have her secured away from the others for now.I would certainly keep track and try to watch them a much as I can. That is a big wound. It either was one big trauma or a lot of little ones. If it was a lot of little ones you should be able catch them at it.
They likely were chased there...Dogs might smell the chickens plus the pup and be attracted up there.... Dogs roam....They want to check out their stomping grounds, if they had lived there before, and if not, they don't smell a reason not to explore. The gun - all the attacks have happened when you're not there it seems, or have you been there?Granite and Quartz had gone through the hedge, putting them off property, and the dog's owner was willing to pay for them. I can't quibble on that one. The schnauzer was in the yard and the other dog (on friday) was on the deck. Both of them were visiting down below, and went home yesterday, I think. Why the dogs want to come up here and sniff around rather than go out in the horse pasture, I don't know.
With the Christmas stuff coming out, I'm mighty tempted to get that red rider bb gun....
I have a very easy recipe if you want it!thinking of making from scratch spaghetti sauce to celebrate.
