Let the guessing begin!

For Mug Monday curtesy of @BeastBaby and their suggestion, here are the four Hoover pullets. Wonder what colour eggs they will lay 😊

And one of the School Chicks - Butterscotch, someone pecked her comb and it bled all over her topknot. She should be laying very soon.

I was away for 7 days and these are the eggs that my stand-in chicken helper collected.

I have:
- 2 from Bernie (brown)
- 5 from Babs (big and only just blue)
- 7 from Piglet (small blue)
- 4 from Tassels (khaki)
Babs is running low on ink - her eggs used to be at least as blue as Piglets. She took 2 days off but I really hope she takes a longer break soon.
Sylvie is no longer broody but hasn’t started laying again.
Neither Calypso nor Pooh have started laying yet.

Sue will lay brown eggs. The rest.....ummmm.....no idea.

No, to get the floor somewhat above water / dampness that wants to drain through the packed shale and seep underneath on its way over to a French drain. I dug a trench that really helped most of the major water problems. Tried concurrently raising the floor with a stone & gravel sandy mix that turned out to draw water up, so switched to pavers.
Great idea!

Muffy (who also need a bead/muff /eyebrow comb) and Butterscotch are both squatting and squawking- I think Muffy has laid a couple of small blue eggs, but can’t be 100% sure it’s her - but they are small eggs so I think it’s her 😊 another blue egg layer? How does that happen? A Polish chicken lays white eggs… I am assuming Misty is her mum (has a beard), she lays a blue/green egg.
That tracks. The white egg genes would do away with the brown pigment that turns Misty’s egg green, leaving just the (dominant) blue shell behind for Muffy.
