Sorry to offend you. It’s just that he has that Foxy look to him.
I don’t know anything about little dogs like that. :idunno
I wasn't offended, sorry if you thought so. We actually call him our little fox.

He's a cute little thing, but oh boy when he sheds it's weeks of hairballs all over!

Magnificent, spectacular, beautiful, amazing, fantastic, and other words that haven’t been invented yet to describe those birds of yours!

I should wait until Caturday but I will go ahead and do a formal introduction.

Everyone meet "Keeper". 3 weeks in mom gave him this nickname which as it turns out is officially his name.

Mom was not "keeping" any until out of the blue in a span of about 12 hours when they were around 3 1/2 weeks old his perfectly fine siblings crashed and passed away. Mom was terrified she was loosing him to but he pulled out of it. Now that he has had almost all of his shots and is deemed healthy he has been allowed outside time. When outside the hay pile is his domain. He attacks the hay, climbs the trees and causes general chaos. He is being schooled in the way of the chicken, which is good, he needs it while he is young. I have already caught him curled around Bunny while she was busy laying her egg. Both were content. He has been flogged and learned chickens are not toys. Of everyone to try and pounce he chose Momma Hen. That did not go well for him and I questioned his intelligence. He learned, I have not saw him try to pounce any of them afterwards and he steers clear of Momma. He also hides from Owly, she see's him as a squeaky toy and stalks him. Thanks to her he ends up in the tree's several times.

He is very cute and I am glad he is learning how to be a good companion to the chickens.

Found another pullet egg this morning, slightly bigger

The egg on the left is the new one. With the one from the other day for size change. Same color as Jessica's eggs, so I'm really thinking it's Chia. She's also being accepted in with the adults, while Havoc, Enigma, and Shan are not yet. Shan is the pinkest, so I think she's going to go with her father's time line rather than her mother's and be the next to lay.

All that fun we have with our chickens, and we get breakfast too! :thumbsup

I feel happy for you! I remember the first time I hatched eggs. It was so exciting!

Onyx: Hatched in an incubator, raised by Plum.
Henny has raised a clutch before, an egg each from Curly and Fluffy (both boys that time), and and egg from Penelope and Blanche (both girls that time), I had hoped for another pullet from Penelope. Oh well I have Dorothy from her so I am good with that.

They all hatched on the 19th day and overnight into the 20th day last time. Wonder if they will be early again this time…
