I got some live meal worms from my Buy Nothing group and have been keeping them in a meal bin. These pupated out into the adult form already, but I think that makes them even more fun for the chickens! Now that they’re mobile and can *run away*, they got scattered into a pile of Fall leaves

Does anyone have any coops that they would like to recommend that fits 10 chickens with room for more? My dad might be letting my mom and I get a coop, but he said that around 400 is our money limit. I know that Omlet coops are good, but WAY to expensive, as much as I would like them.

What about a hoop coop? Cattle panels and some tarps.

It’s just building one is expensive. My mom and I have pallets that we were gonna make a coop out of, but it’s just SO expensive with inflation and whatever. I’ll see what they say. Thanks

You can totally build a coop out of pallets!

Sir, you can just slap two pieces of wood together and boom, you have a nesting box

Or get a milk crate or bucket and set it on its side.

I managed to get some video of the fetus moving in the egg, it’s Curly’s, I tried Fluffies but her egg is just a bit too dark. But it also is growing lots. Sure is a lively wee little girl

I know. We ended up needing to get two 300 dollar coops that in total fit about 12. I wanted a shed, but what dad says goes.

That's how it is with my husband too. He wants to make a village of those premade coops from the farm stores. I told him the ladies will make such a fuss over who gets to sleep in what cabin but he thinks it's a cute idea.

My parents forsythia bloomed again, so late in the year!

Mine lay eggs in boxes, shaving bags, in the middle of the floor…. Hahaha
