I woke up this morning and chose pie-lence

Those white pumpkins sure did make an odd colored pie. The front one is actually tiny and for tonight, the one in back is for Thursday.

"Where's my slice?"

Last year a slice of homemade pumpkin pie fell on the ground. Rest assured it got turned into chicken poop in a matter of a minute.

Bernie gave me that look until she was nearly a year old. I will lay an egg when I d**n well choose to and not a day earlier!

Whiskey and Albert are 24 weeks old today. Albert has a way to go before we see eggs- probably will be a January layer. I’ve been hoping Whiskey would lay earlier- was supposed to start at 18 weeks. No crouching or nest visiting yet

This was sweetened, creamed, hot tea.
I love food. Just like my chickens.
I'm not really a fan of lunch. Unlike the chooks, I skip lunch.

I am looking forward to the tax owed with all this off topic conversation

I really let the preacher have it at church.
Last week I was asked to list things that I was grateful for (thanksgiving theme)
I listed:
1. Overcharged property taxes
2. Continuous Tax increases in California
3. Billions of dollars sent to foreign countries, causing massive inflation!
4. The price increases for gas and food at the local venues!
5. The new government policies that chip away at my retirement savings. (Before I even get a chance to spend any)
6. Policies governing local law enforcement, no longer prosecute criminals for their actions!
Then I said “I think I should sit down now, because I have a lot more to say and you all can be thankful that I won’t!”
Yeah that was in church.

Hm. I’ve never had creamed tea. Normally I hardly skip any meals, but since I’ve been under the weather, I’ve been eating very lightly. My chooks pretend like I’m starving them. I’ve not gone out to see them today… I’m scared to see how much the chicks have grown.

Thus way I made my tea this morning:
Filled a bowl with boiling water, then put the sugar in. added some raisins, then added a cup and a half of oatmeal with cinnamon mixed in. Stirred it until it was ready. (Didn’t add any tea this time)

Taxes gone wild!

Tongue in cheek, but! -

I think, and maybe everyone disagrees with me, that if everyone is asked for statements of opinions and not facts, that everyone can chime in and no taxes are required, despite similar or redundant opinions. I say!

Nobody knows for sure what is going on with Sylvie The Soon-To-Be Naked Neck (might need a real-life Spoiler, @RoyalChick , just sayin’).

Just because several of us think it’s a post-broody molt and we give that opinion after the very first one posts, that doesn’t mean that we all owe tax!

I noticed @Pastel The Rooster mentioned taxes to me too, on their question of what we thought they ought to do about their big flock vs. tiny funds. Isn’t that a question of opinion? This needs another emoji or two

I need to get more pics and will do. In order to pay these gratuitous, chicken-loving, no-reason-just-because so-called “taxes”! OK will step off soapbox now

Funny enough, I made green tea oatmeal with honey to sweeten once. It was decently good, surprisingly.
