Their second! Halloween we had about six inches, they're a bit more relaxed about it this time. When letting the dog out just a bit ago and saw Samara out in the run scratching in the snow. I should have gotten a pic, little snowy silkie
Like this little snow bird?

😊

That procedure was not explained to me
They give them a sedation and they lay down, once they are completely sedated they give them the med to euthanize them, they are completely relaxed and unconscious and they quietly go in a very peaceful manner.

Which is what I want for all my pets. To have a great life then when the time comes to have quick quiet painless passing.

I hope it was painless for Chaco
Yes Chaco would have been sedated and quietly at peace prior to her passing; just like being sedated for surgery she would not know anything other than going to sleep.

It is, but I have to go to another location 2hrs from here for the week. Mum will once again do my chores; so I am hoping that Red will be ok, and of course mama and baby. I put a camera in their crate to keep any eye on them. The babies were out and about all day, and mama was up and about also, I saw the one chick drinking on its own and showed them both were the water is. They should be fine.

Henny sleeping, babies all tucked under I am sure 💕

FYI I saw the other chick also drinking at evening chores, yay! They are eating drinking and pooping !

At 3:20 this morning Babs got up and went off somewhere (I assume to lay an egg but haven’t checked yet).
By 4:30 she had invited Piglet to join her in an early breakfast.
It was a full moon last night so I assume she could see quite well.

Surprise! Enigma seems to have snuck under the radar and started laying. No idea when, but expect her eggs are lightish brown (too dark for pink, but lighter than bronze).

That's a fake egg under her. Blanche isn't happy about the camera or the poking about.
